Post subject: Shao Kahn - How is he back in MK3? |

Can someone explain to me how Shao Kahn, after being defeated, turned into stone, and then blown up, comes back to invade earthrealm in MK3? As clearly seen in the original MK2, and now in MK Shaolin Monks this occured.
Now, I'm sure there's a 'rational' explination for his return as well as Shang Tsung's return in MK3, but I'd just like to hear it.

Ok, Shao Kahn has never really died. Yes, he was turned into stone, but it was there only to make you happy that you really kicked his ass

Figured as much. Do you know how far apart MK2 and MK3 are? I presume Kahn took some time to revive some of his combatants or to recharge to prepare for his earthrealm invasion. But I'm still wondering how long a gap there is between the two games.

You could call MKII: Attack of the Klones. Or MKII: Klone Wars.
The statue thing, clone. MIleena, clone. Reptile wanted himself cloned to repopulate the race. I swear Johnny Cage was gonna have sweet sex with his clone at some damn point. Hell one of the rumors was, back before it came out, that Sonya and Kano were only clones placed there to lure in Jax. :S

Oh please. Everyone knows, or should know that before the reign of the Deadly Alliance, Kahn had himself cloned, and the clone was killed by Tsung and Quan Chi. Kahn fled off into the Living Forest and that is where he remains to regain his power.

In MKDA's Konquest I skipped through most of the messages so I am missing a lot of revealed storyline behind some characters.  Or is all this cloning crap sarcasm and BS? I can't tell.

My MKII cloning 'crap' isn't. It's taking from intros and endings from the game.
As for the Shao Klone, I think that it was more like a Saddam body double. You may need to read Shao Kahn's bio for MK: D , but yes it could very well have been a clone.
The stone statue is a clone.
