Post subject: MK - The next adventure game should be? |

I heard (and I can't remember from where) that the MK team now wants to rotate between fighting and adventure games. For example, after MK7, it'll be another adventure game, and then another fighter for MK8, and then another adventure, thank MK9, etc.
If this is the case (which I'm not sure it is, if anyone knows can they mention that) would you like to see the next adventure game follow MK3's story? Although MK3 is usually critisized, if it followed the story but with all that MKT characters I think it'd be awesome. I used to hate MK3 story but now I actually think the concept is great. Shao Kahn invades earthrealm and steals the souls of everyone except the few who's souls are protected.
What do you think? Would you like to see MK3 (er, more like MKT) in adventure game mode? Or MK1? or a whole new game, perhaps following a clan? Just wondering.

Personally, I'd love to see the MK team make MK3 an adventure game. MK1 should be left alone in my opinion because, from what I've seen, it is just a big brawl with Scorpion, Kano, Goro, Shang Tsung and Reptile vs. Johney Cage, Sonya, Liu Kang, and maybe Raiden/Kung Lao. MK3 story (but with MKT characters) would be, in my opinion, a great game to be turned into an adventure style play. It could follow some peace time after MK2 and then show how Kahn enters Earthrealm and invades it. I'd certainly hope though that the MK team learn from the mistakes of Shaolin Monks and allow more than just Liu Kang and Kung Lao as the main characters and be more like a Konquest mode during MK3 for about 8 characters (EACH with their own levels and stories etc.) Preferably Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Rain, Kabal, Sonya, Kitana and maybe Stryker (just because these characters I feel really need to be looked at more and their stories developed better.)
Or, it could follow the Lin Kuei clan and how they changed drastically since the first tournement and decided to automate their warrios. In which case the game should follow Sub-Zero 6th's story, Smoke, Cyrax, Sektor and maybe Frost.

I reckon they should do another character based one, Scorpion's would be a good story, you could start off as he was before he was murdered and continue throgh to him trying to kill Sub-Zero, then Quan Chi.

Indeed, perhaps a game where you witness Kahn's brutal conquest of Outworld, starting from his assassination of Onaga. Or maybe play as Kitana, Rain and Jade during Kahn's invasion of Edenia and see how King Jerrod is killed, etc. That'd be interesting to see.

I wantr one that focuses on the back story of Edenia. One that shows Jade and Kitana playing and growin up together, Sindel and her true husband, and even what Rain was like before Kahn.

I would like to see and MK adventure game where you play on evil's side. Playing on the good side makes me feel like boy scout. Maybe playing as Scorpion. The game could really build a new strong storyline for him.
