Ok, before MKSM was released, the MK team said that they wanted to recreate eveything taht is MK2 in this game. So.....why isn't Jade in the Living Forest? Instead, they had Mileena.... Well, at least thay had Smoke there.
But one thing that makes me wonder is that you CANNOT fight Smoke or Noob. Or Jade by herself. But in MK2, you fight them in GORO' LAIR. Amybe you it IS possible to fight thjese guys there. In MK2 there were methods to do this. Maybe the ssame is for MKSM. Maybe if you get a toasty in the Armory, and you press start, you will be transported to Goro's Lair to fight Smoke? Or if you play 50 versus matches, you will fight Noob? Or if you only use low kicks in a certain area, you'll fight Jade? I am just trying to think in retrospect to MK2, and if MKSM is a remake of it, shouldn't the same concepts apply?

Its an interesting theory. I've noticed with Shaolin Monks it has taken so much longer to unlock all of its secrets than previous MK games, perhaps because its an adventure game and there is much more kontent.
I think the 50 versus matches might be something to check. But the toasty I doubt since when you hit start it gives you 1000 points. But they do have the Smoke model in the game, so that's something to have fight. And Noob has a character model. Jade you fight already, but then again, you can fight Mileena solo in the living forest, perhaps you can do the same with Jade?
Or, I think the best thing would be Smoke and Jade as a tag team.  In the comics they're inseperable, like Mileena and Reptile.

 I hope the 50 vs. macthes wor k, because I've bee dying to get deeper into his story since the normal storyline left me haning in the Netherrelm with Sub & Noob.

Jay: You can΄t unlock Jade like in MK2 (using low kicks), because there isn΄t low kick button in MK:SM.

lol, i wasted my time on the fifty matches too. But the only way to play as noob is to have both players select sub-zero and the seccond player will be noob saibot
