i hear all the time about how mksm is not cannon to mk2 and stuff, but mortal kombat Shaolin Monks was suposedto replace the mk2 story, and what happens here is the real story to follow from now on, so why is everyone so mad or confused about that? i personally like the changes because it leaves a few open things for them to expand on in the future side games even MKSM2 or something.
