There's always been a Sub-Zero in every game with the exception of Special Forces.
Liu Kang was just about to be in all the fighting games but Deadly Alliance but a mark on his attendence record. Next is Sonya. She's been is most of the games.

Well...easy! Sub-Zero and his brother are considered 2 different characters, neither have been in as many games as Jax.
I- appeared in Sonya's Bio
II- main character
III- main character
IV- main character
SF- main character
M- none
DA- main character
D- Konquest mode
SM- mentioned by Sonya
I'm assuming that's the most...but I guess I'm not positive.

That's true but i never count the ones that were only mentioned by another character or the introduction, I have my own system of order, and i have to say that is Scorpion the one that appeared most times.
