In Puzzle Kombat, Nightwolf's super is called a Breaker Buster, but for the life of me, I haven't been able to figure out exactly WTF it does!!!
The one Puzzle Kombat FAQ at GameFAQS.com wasn't much help.
Please fill me in. _________________ ~S-Wind

When there are breakers on your oppenents side you use it and it destroys them. _________________ There is no knowledge that is not power...

Thanks for the reply.
But.....
I used Nightwolf's super while playing against my girlfriend (who whips my arse in 90% of all such puzzle games) and it didn't do that.
Here's what happened:
I get my super meter filled up, and wait until I see a breaker appear on her side. A blue breaker attached to a blue block appears on her side. I press the A button to activate the super. Her character ets struck by lightning and is dazed for a second or two, BUT nothing happens to the blue breaker.
Huh?
What's going on? _________________ ~S-Wind

I'm pretty sure the breakers have to already be on the board. _________________ Nikki: your friendly neighborhood moderator. ^_^

The breaker was already on the playing field and very close to her stack of blocks. I toesn't get more on the firled than that, right? Had I waited any longer, she would have been able to use that breaker.
This is the Gamecube version.
I'm going to give it another try. _________________ ~S-Wind

Less obvious ones include Nightwolf's Breaker Buster, which destroys any breakers already on your opponent's puzzle but not yet used (combos involving multiple breakers can be set up with a bit of forethought).

OY VAY!
OK, I've finally figured it out.
Breakers can be in 1 of 4 states:
State 1: In the "NEXT" box
- It is coming up next
- here, the breaker is not in play
State 2: On the playing field, falling
- now the breaker is in play
- it has not been placed yet
- therefore, you can move it around
State 3: Placed
- this is when the breaker has made contact with either the bottom of the field or a block, therefore the breaker can fall no further
- IF the breaker is touching a block of the same color, then it immediately becomes a "USED" breacker
- the breaker can no longer be moved around
State 4: USED
- the breaker makes contact with a block of the same colour
- the breaker, and all adjacent and connected blocks of the same color disappear
I thought that Nightwolf's Breaker Buster could be used when the breaker is in State 2, but it turns out that Nightwolf's Breaker Buster can only be used when breaker is in State 3.
To me, it makes more sense to be able to use Nightwolf's Breaker Buster when the breaker is in State 2. The vast majority of the time a breaker is placed, it is placed with its matching color, making Nightwolf's Breaker Buster useless most of the time.
Well, now I know not to pick Nightwolf anymore. _________________ ~S-Wind

By far, one of the easiest characters to play with is Raiden, with the Storm ability. It creates extra rows of puzzle pieces on your opponent's row, making it easier to finish them off. Want to know how to drive a friend insane? Perform a combo of two or three sequenced breakers, then use your Super attack. Almost everytime, you will be able to win the battle with this tactic. _________________ Highest Kreate-A-Fatality: 11 (Ultimate Fatality)
