I play against the AI often, and I never used Sub-Zero's ice blasts successfully before. The AI just ducks conveniently. And besides, my computer doesn't like my keyboard that much... Slide becomes extremely difficult to do when the buttons don't respond to a combination of commands..

Yeah sub zero in general was pretty bad, like all the ninjas, in MK2.
And the keyboard problem is a common one. I've been told though that a lot of the keyboard locking problems go away if you use wasd for arrows and home, end, page up, page down, insert, delete for the Punches, kicks and block. I can't do that because my keyboard is an ergo and those buttons are all half size for me. I use wasd for arrows and uiojkl and space bar for buttons. They lock up pretty bad.

These are in order as to which is the best imo... starting from the top.

I like Reptile in VS mode. and Sub-Zero in 1-player, simply because Reptile can turn invisible in vs to hender all your friends (the bots dont care, they can still c you) and sub zero can freez all the bots u find hard to beat, allowing you to strike them with any attack...

I don't think it really matters who is the best... its basically on how your control your character.
See my list up there? Thats who I can control the best. heh

So Vultyrex, Baraka's at the bottom, huh, he's definetely my best character, even though nobody else thinks so. I don't really like Baraka from the early games, but I could sure kick a** with him.

There is a reason for tier listing. It's the order of effectiveness in terms of easiness of use, and how often certain characters win tournaments. This is another way of talking about character efficiency. Some people, no matter how good they are with a low tier character, will never be able to beat even moderate players with high tier.
