Goro and Motaro are dead. We find that out in MK:DA. Kintaro wasn't mentioned, but I don't want ANY old sub-bosses to return. They should come up with a new one in MK.
The sub-bosses, in order of toughest to beat to easiest (for me.)
Motaro (He was hard as hell--until I finally got those combos down, now he's a push over.)
MK1 Goro (he was easy, but still tougher than the others.)
Kintaro (I really don't know why you guys had a problem with him. I've never been able to beat him with anyone but Cage, but I know exactly when to use my special moves and when to dodge--he's only beat me about 5 times, total. I used to sit in the arcade and beat Kintaro for kids who couldn't. Never took more than a quarter or two.)
Moloch (I know many of you have trouble with him, but I never really did. I used to rely on my weapon styles and get beat sometimes, but now I beat him without a weapon. He's not much of a problem, anymore.)
MK4 Goro (Three ways to beat him down-- Johnny Cage--Shadow Kick, shadow kick, shadow kick, repeat. Only a max damage combo causes you trouble. He never blocks it. Liu Kang--Flying Kcik, Flying kick, knock him to the wall, bicycle kick, follow with uppercut, flying kick, etc. He falls easily. Raiden--Torpedo or Superman, over and over. By far the easiest sub-boss ever. I actually had more trouble with his partner, Johnny Cage, in 2 on 2. Well, until I finally figured out the secrets to beating him.)

Since we're speaking of sub-bosses here,anyone think Moloch is mysterious?We know almost nothing about him,other than like Drahmin he's an Oni who also wanted to escape the netherealm.We know Drahmin was a warlord,but they didn't say what Moloch was.Like Quan Chi and Kahn,Moloch's origins are unknown.That's why Moloch is my favorite sub-boss,because he's mysterious.All the other sub-bosses had simple story,but Moloch's different.

Moloch is probably my favorite, too. I loved that story the MK team came up with about him--too bad they didn't get to use it.

Kintaro may come back in MK6 to avenge the death of Goro for some reason. But like you said, he wasn't mentioned. He may be dead, may not.
