I chose to call it the Pit II because there is torch and that monk fighting him in the background, which was only seen in the Pit II. They just decided to add spikes at the bottom of it. In the original Pit II, they just hit flat ground and died on impact. But in MKD they wanted to add the spikes because it was a cooler way to die.
Edit by Amphibious: It actually is the Pit I, I was thinking about the Pit II featured in MK - Shaolin Monks.

Which was a shame because the spikes thing had been done to death (Excuse the pun). Smashsing your brains out on the floor was funny.

I have never seen Torch/Blaze in MK:D Pit  I saw him only in MK2,MK:DA and MK:SM (the hidden Pit II arena).

Oops! Jeeze, you guys are right, it IS the Pit I in MK Deception. I was thinking about the Pit in MK Shaolin Monks! My bad big time.
