If you rember the second movie had most of the elements of the third game. So the third movie can't be based on that it will most likly combine elements from 3 and 5. Plus we know that there is supposed to be a major charater diying in the movie.

Scorpion in the move. You can bet on it Scorp and Sub are the two most popular MK charaters. It will be a long time before you see an mk movie, Game or other sorce of media without them in it.

Well, a few of the characters from the third game are were in Annilation. Like Kabal and Stryker who they just killed off and didn't even let us see them. But there are still a lot of characters they haven't mentioned yet, so the skies the limit of whi will be in this one.
Now, who do I think will die. I'm no Jax/Sonya hater, but I think another main character will die, I mean think about it. Johnny and Raiden died in the last movie, so someone either has to die in this one, or someone will join the earth warriors. You can be sure about that. I just hope this movie isn't a repeat of the last. The first movie was so good.

Actually, The MK movie was based on MkI and MkII the games, like, Kitana wasent supposed to appear. MKA was based on Mk3 and Mk4...Mk3 will be based on Mk4 and mostly on MkDA, since this game got much more impact, and I dont see a reson for Shinok to come back, he just travel to hell after Kanh losing the tournament.
Sonya isnt gonna die. Rummors were that, but think about it, if Caged died, Sonya sad, now Sonya dies, and Cage if comes back will be sad too. And if Liu dies (wich is the most possible thing) they cant kill another one, ill suck!
I just hope SOnya and Cage dont die, Kitana could die, but better if is Liu.

From all I've read, and I'm 100% positive it will go down like this... The movie will be based around MKDA, and Lui Kang will die about half way through the movie. (Robin Shou has already made that statement, and said this will be the last he will appear in the mortal kombat franchise)

I saw on imdb that Kenshi was supposed to be in the movie. Though that site has started a lot of rumors already.
Also, why do you guys downrate Jax and Sonya so much. So he has metal arms. Kano has a red eye, scorpion has a spear, reptile has a tail. Give them a little credit. They've taken out a lot of Black Dragon members an everything.

Honestly,i think Sonya is cool.But in the movies,she sucks.In MK4 and DA,she's exactly like her movie counterparts,whick makes her horrible.But in MK1 and 3(the games),she kicks butt!As for Jax,he was a lame idea since he was introduced.Whoa,a big,strong tough black male.How new and original!(sarcasm)I love ethnic diversity,but i am getting tired that the black character in fighting games is always a big,strong and tough American man.How about a Jamaican Voodoo guy instead?
Back to topic.Either make Sonya like she is in MK1 and 3,or just plain kill her off.If she's played by Bridgette Wilson,then i want Sonya to die a slow and painful death!

I think it's gonna be Lui, because I read somewhere that he said this would be his final MK movie and that he was only going to be in the first half of it. Which means the game is taking the role of Deadly Alliance.
