I never really cared much for Cage until Shaolin Monks. I thought he was great for comic relief, and it was hilarious when he stole the kill from Liu Kang by kicking goro in the groin. It was probably a bit of a parody from the movie when Cage punches Goro in the nuts.
He'll probably die and stay dead in and after MK -AR. Whether he goes or stays isn't that big a deal to me either way but in Shaolin Monks I thought he was a pretty decent character.

Well, in the next movie, I understand that there is something that happens, but I do not recall. It says that his soul escapes the afterlife and returns to his original body. I do think, however, Death to Cage would be a good storyline, if it even makes it because Johnny Cage was so annoying in the movies and MKSM. I do not even think he should have been made a character in the MK games at all because of how lame he is.

Johnny Cage is probibly one of the best Mk characters! (2nd only to Stryker and Sub-Zero) he was funney, brought for some unique and over copied moves to Mk (Like Jade took his Shadow Kick) and he is an all around awsome character, especially in Shoalin Monks. The represents the true old school Cage very well. YOU JUST GOT CAGED!

Johnny Cage did have good moves, but his lines like, YOU JUST GOT CAGED, were just plain cheesy. He had only one projectile attack that made him the toughest to play with. In Shaolin Monks, he is the worst of the worst because of his arrogance and stupidity. The idea that he was even a character for that game was plain idiocy. His lines were cheesy, and he was just plain annoying. Cage needs to die at some point and probably at the hands of the greatest immortal ruler of all-time, Shao Kahn. Kahn was my favorite character to fight in Shaolin Monks, as he was the one who knew of Tsung's plot the entire time.

Since the last post is only 4 months old I'll say that Shang Tsung was impersonating JC when he killed Goro, to raise doubts about their friendships, as Raiden warned them about when they first got to outworld.
And I like fighting with JC, but agree he need's to shut up.

It would be nice if something of a similar nature to Armaggeddon's ending with Cage actually did happen. It states that he finds enlightenment, so maybe he becomes more like a noble type warrior with that ending. Let's say if it were to happen anyways, and he found enlightenment, he'd shut his mouth. I think it would be a good change for him if Ed Boon and everybody went by that.
