Post subject: Arcade MK3 free play bug |

Hi, ive been a MK fan for about 12 years now and was wondering, if anybody remember the free play bug on MK3 arcade version. I remember tha you had to beat the game as robot smoke then do somethin i think but i dont remember what exactly. Does anybody remember what is it? Oh how much fun we had doing that at the arcade hehehe...Imagine, you are about 15 yrs old and play on the arcade for free a lot of times before the arcade manager figured out we were playing for free...That was good old days. Today, me and my friends are still playing MK as i got my own MKII arcade wich ive upgraded recently with a UMK3 board and a new control panel for the run button (as you can see my MK baby is right here in my signature and avatar) Hope someone would remember that free play trick for MK3 (not UMK3). Even if i wont use it, i just want to remember what we were doing to get that free play.

I know it:
(also works on UMK3)
-You beat the game with anyone
-When you get to choose a treasure, choose the 3rd one (battle with ermac)
-Beat ermac 1 round
-Let ermac win the other round
-Win the 3rd round and peform mercy
-Hit ermac agian, then when it says finish him....do nothing to ermac, let him wobble and fall over
-After this, it takes you back to the "choose your destiny" screen.

Thx for the info but its not the glitch i was looking for...I remember on MK3 the game was coin-operated and after you beat Shao Khan with robot smoke you do somethin then the arcade game became free-play allowing peeps to play against each other for free, not simgle player mode.

I own the UMK3 arcade machine, thats the only free play glitch I know of (the one I posted)

i never heard of this before but im sure someone here knows this, by the way i had only heard of the one glitch Total MK replied with, hope someone knows cus i know a place that has a mk3 arcade still, not much action on it anymore, but if i find this out i can see if it works
