Well, playing at the "Ultimate" difficulty level, it seems like the game breakes the rules first, when I perform a "backwards+low kick" move, the opponent is able to block it even if he is standing. The second main thing I notice, is that it is almost imposibile to perform a throw: when I push the throw button, it is the opponent to perform one! Even when I use Scorpion's spear and the opponent should be unable to do anything, if I push the throw button, he performs a throw! To me it is senseless, did you noticed this thing, too?

Well, I can still finish the game using only one continue, but I find it annoying! I always use combos and weapons and never use throws...

This problem exists in MK2 on all difficulties in the arcade version, and all but the easiest difficulty for non-boss opponents in the PC version. Let's just face it - not all games are perfect, and AI cheating is an extremely easy way to make an extremely tough computer opponent.

In every classic MK game, the computer cheats and the computer is cheap.
BUt, with the blocking the sweep while standing, that's pretty common. You see in the 2D MK games, the state your character is in (blocking, not blocking, in air, on the ground etc) changed faster then the frames of animation could change. So the very moment you press down and block you are ducking low, even if on the first frame after you press it someone goes for a sweep and the animation still has you standing. THe same goes for blocking in general. Thats why in the 2D games you can freeze people while they are still in their blocking frame of animation, its just that they released block a tiny bit before the freeze hit so the frames hadn't changed yet.
I imagine its pretty similar in MK4 since they tried to reproduce a lot of elements of the 2D gameplay. _________________ UltimateMK.com - The ULTIMATE Source of Kompetitive Mortal Kombat Information

Probably it is so.
Anyway, I still find Goro on MK4 being possibly the most annoying character to face.... I really hate him.

Yeah, he's the biggest ass on MK4, and even with sufficient practice, the combo I mentioned earlier doesn't help.
I find that the easiest way it to play Raiden. Do your torpedo and try to hit him, cornering him against the wall, then do the combo (HP, HP, HK, B+HK), run forward and repeat before he gets up (normally he should be on the way up). For normal characters, doing this twice and doing a modified version (to avoid MAXIMUM DAMAGE messages) the third combo should be a simple HP, HP, B+HK. Since Goro takes less damage, you can afford to pull off the standard combo more often before doing the finishing one. He might get some lucky hits at you when you have done near-maximum damage and gave him a chance to recover a bit, but don't let him dominate you.
The reason Raiden is chosen is because it seems to be more difficult to follow the combo up with a repeat if the opponent flies off too far. Cornering the opponent almost eliminates this problem, and Raiden is the best man for cornering the opponent.

Yeah, but I find that also Sub Zero is able to freeze easily him, also with the weapon. Using also the slide, this allows me to make a combo from left and right changing side everytime... Goro has a weak defense. The trick is to not allow him to trap you into the corner, his throws are really dangerous.
I often use the slide, except against characters lke Tanya wich has an annoying middle-low fireball.
