I agree.. well not about Rain sucking but his costume. I think they should've put some sort of covering over his head and not just his face.

Considering he was made as a joke character to begin with, It doesn't really matter to me that he came back, or how he looks.

One thing that suprises me is no one jokes about him being the 'purple ninja'. Then again, Jade makes a reference to it in MKD's Konquest mode. "Purple?? Rain certainly has an interesting wardrobe..." It's never bothered me though. If he was a pink ninja, I'd probably think differently about him.
Anyways, even though he was never as popular as say Scorpion or Reptile, I've always loved the ninja characters in Mortal Kombat (even Noob Saibot is growing on me now that we all know he's MK1's Sub-Zero and has a somewhat descent story).
Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile, Smoke, Noob Saibot, Ermac and Rain have always been my favourite characters. In fact, up until MK Gold and up, I never plays as any of the other characters really.
I think that Rain's come a long way since being a colour pallette swaping in UMK3. He has an entire fan base around him, he's got a reasonable story, and now he's got a badass ninja costume.
I couldn't be happier to see him back, especially since his new suit is kickass and they kept him as a ninja. (Nothing pisses me off more than when they remove ninja character's masks).

Cant wait to play as him with his new outfit! I dont care what anyone says, I love it! It gives him that true shinobi look and feel!

Hmmm Okay, guess I'll try and give it a shot by playing as Rain. But if I can't get satisfied with him, thenI will stick with my Elite 5.

Ever since Rain appeared in UMK3 (Genesis version) he has been one of my favorite characters. I'm glad he's back. Rain is probably one of my top 5 characters. I just hope they give him the same moves he had then (Same with Sonya, the leg grab was cool). I personally like his new costume. I just hope they don't give him a stupid alternate (ex: Sub-Zero's alternate in MKD...that was horrible)

I think they did a great job with Rain's outfit. I'll be very, very disappointed if ANY of the ninjas (Except Scorpion and Possibly Reptile) alternative costumes remove their masks...That will just kill the whole purpose of them being ninjas!

I love his new look, and I hope his alternate costume is an updated version of his UMK3 attire, just to bring the Rain fans back down memory lane. He will definetly be one of the first characters I pick to play as.
