I know MK7 is going to be great and all, but people fail to forget this line "The final drop of blood"
After this, theres not going to be anymore MK games. I grew up playing those games, I dont know how I will cope if I cant see Scorpion or Reptile again. Is anybody else upset or am I just plain pathetic?

No you're just pathetic LoL just joking calm down. Seriously, I would miss it very much if MK would end in Armageddon, and also we may get to see the Kombatants' goals achieved with a vengeance, saving the realms, saving one's life from corruption, standing victorious with his/her desire, the list goes on. It feels like a LOTR Trilogy or something. Hell, I would miss all the kombatants, well except for Kobra, Dairou, Darrius, Hotaru, and Havik. And if it is the last game of MK then be it I will always play their games just to see them..... wow that felt so emotional.

Actualy guys, i think this is just the last MK game for this generation of consols. Think about it, X-box 360 is out (who really cares about it?) and PS3 and Revolution will be out later this year (YAY PS3! I guess Revolution will be good to seems how it WILL be Nintendo's last consel) so once these come out, a whole new generation of MK could be unleashed. I think they are just using the term "The final drop of blood" because this will be the last time we see many or all of these characters. For in the future, it will return to being a tourniment and a time for a new generation to fight. Because remember, Mortal Kombat is held once EVERY generation. SO this is just the last of wars, and the dawn of a new tourniment. Just a thought...

u guys dont werry urselfs. w/ all these competing fighting games, midway wont just have 1 more game n flat out oh guys hers another mk game theyll eventually have new guys take over but itll b years cuz ya no how much they make n this game. plus little by little this original people will go away but itll take more than 1 game 2 kill the others. just cuz its armageddon it cood mean that its the end of this 3 game story. so calm down n hope 4 tha best. beleeve in urself. n look on the bright side. if they immediately stop the story w/ another 1 we cood pull a martin luther king n boycott go on 2 other games like soul calibur or tekken tilll they bring back wut we want. n dont be afraid of chang cuz it cood b 4 the best beleeve me

This maybe is the game that will end with the veterans kombatants, except some like the new ones, the gods,Cyborgs, Scorpion, Noob, Reptile as we never saw him being older, Edenians, they'll be again there. Maybe this is the last Mortal Kombat for people like Sub-Zero(unfortunately), maybe the final battle for Liu-Kang and they'll change the main character and most of the characters from the classic games.

Well the title is very misleading! ARMAGEDDON (means end of the world) and "Final Drop of Blood" could very well mean that this might be the last game! Besides, wasnt something about finality mentioned in the article?

Armageddon doen't just mean end of the world. I can't see this being the last Mortal Kombat game unless it is an absolute failure, which I doubt very much. Midway have guaranteed us a Mortal Kombat game every year so don't worry. Just look forward to the game that is coming (60+ roster!) rather than thinking about the one after that. Example: When you heard Deadly Alliance was to be released in six months did you think "Hmm.. I wonder what the game after this is going to be like" or were you just looking forward to Deadly Alliance. In my opinion worrying a year or two in advance could be very unhealthy and will get very dull very soon.

well if some characters are not gonna come back after this game, which characters do yo think will go and stay.
I think some classic characters will stay-about 10-13
Then I think the sort of newer ones(frost,kenshi, kobra. etc.)-5-7
And then there will be newer ones they will work on.
What do you think and what characters do you think will stay and not stay.

hey just looked at the scans again and Ed Boon said something like
"don't think were not gonna come back without Scorpion or Sub-Zero where just trying to get in the next generaton console as much newer stuff"
well at least my favourite 2 characters will be back and hopefully some more.
