Are there any secrets in MK3? Is a Mercy a sort of secret? _________________ Woe to you o' earth and sea, for the devil sends the beast with wrath, for he knows the time is short, let him who have understanding reckon the number of the beast, it's number is six hundred and sixty six...

Yes, there are Secrets in Mortal Kombat 3. That lso depends on what system your talking about with what kind of cheats you want. Although they are the same cheats.
Kool Stuff
Kooler Stuff
Scott's Stuff
"Smoke Code"
Now, the Mercy. That can only be done on the third round after "finish him" or "finish her" appears. This gives the opponent a small amount of life back and you must defeat the person again. Now as the post finisher, you are now able to perform an Aminality on your opponent. _________________

There were also command line cheats for MK3 for the PC. I think typing "mk3 666" to run the game unlocked smoke and there was another to unlock the bosses in 2 player mode.
Also, the CD for MK3 PC had the audio from the game as CD tracks. The last track is kind of a secret, its someone singing a lobster song backwards. _________________ UltimateMK.com - The ULTIMATE Source of Kompetitive Mortal Kombat Information

I forget how to access it but if you get hit Dan shouts "Toasty"! _________________ Woe to you o' earth and sea, for the devil sends the beast with wrath, for he knows the time is short, let him who have understanding reckon the number of the beast, it's number is six hundred and sixty six...

I have the PC edition of MK3. Although, the game won't work at all and I don't plan on making it work, I heard the lobster song. I was laughing my ass off when I heard it backwards.
I think I uploaded the song on the net a while back. I just forgot where. _________________

If you ever feel like playing it again you can get DosBox. It gets it to 100% normal speed with the high quality sound effects (there were multiple sound sets, and it would load lower quality sets where everyone said "Hey" if the computer couldn't do the good quality). _________________ UltimateMK.com - The ULTIMATE Source of Kompetitive Mortal Kombat Information

This one isn't that great, but it's something. When playing as Sub-Zero, get your opponent down to "danger". Now use your ice blast and freeze him/her. Dan Forden will come up and say "frosty!".
