i think that scorpion might be because he is the elder gods champion,( if his mk:d ending is true) and he might save the earthrealm from armgeddon by request from the elder gods. it's about time scorp became the good guy.
what do u guys think about scorp being the new hero?

Yea I think either Scorpion or Raiden will be the new hero. If it's Raiden, he should continue as the "pissed off" Raiden.
They'd be kind of a dark hero. I'm tired of the goody-goody types like Liu Kang or Shujinko carrying the torch.

Scorpion the hero; definitely a twist. But I doubt it. There will most likely be some hero that makes us all sick.

You do realize that if his ending sticks, then Scorpion has already been the hero? He was the champion of the Elder Gods and defeated Onaga at the end of Deception.

Well, like it or not, Scorpion is classified as a "dark hero". That means he's in the same classification as Wolverine from X-men fame: He may be a hero and do what needs to be done, but doesn't think twice about killing a foe in his way, hence the "dark".
Since he is now even more powerful as champion of the elder gods, the ending of Deception simply relies on who found Onaga first.
Shujinko's ending is too "happy-go-lucky" by rounding everyone up.
The only ones that make sense are Sindel's ending and Scorpion's.

Sub-Zero's makes sense as well, as it doesn't affect any other ending and can easily hold true.

just because he has white skin and hair doesn't make him old, does it? I thought that the Dragon Medallion had healing effects on Subby, so in effect, that would make him more youthful. if you look at him from DA to Deception, he looks much younger (at least in my opinion) in Deception, through the effects of the Dragon Medallion.

There couls also be an alliance of heroes. Since some characters have had recent changes in their attitude, such as Ermac being released from Kahn's control and fighting for good, it is very possible that you could see him team up with Sub-Zero and Scorpion. Remember other things as well, such as the fact that Scorpion had promised to look after Sub-Zero. There are many parts of the overall plot that could go in many directions, and I always wonder if that is because they planned it that way, rather than poor writing.

U guys know that mk armageddon is based off of mk shaolinmonks engine and in mk shaolinmonks liu/kung killed scorpian so i dont think that he would be the hero unless he comes baq. or they will make quanchi a hero to make the story continue for mk 8 thats my guess.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again: Shaolin Monks ties in with MK2, and you cannot base what's going to happen next off of that game. It's old news. As far as Liu Kang killing Scorpion, that wouldn't matter anyway. Scorpion is already dead, as he is a spectre. He can come and go when he pleases.
Additionally, a game's engine has nothing to do with the story. The game engine is how the game works, not what the game portrays.
