I would like to see small animations for blocking like knocking the fist or foot away or produce a combo from that throwaway.

its mortal f'in kombat anytihng can be done. i mean they can block lightning too, what do u want to fight raiden and make his lightning blast blockable?

acid hurts more than metal, but you are avle to block that. mk's unrealism makes it fun, because if you base something on real life, then people will complain if something is not 100% real.

Dude in every Mortal Kombat you take damage when you block so thats not a very accurate post homie.
And actually me and my homies talk about this quite a lot about how they can do that but then again it would cheap to have to roll through all your styles and have your weapon style out to blcok so thats why. |

Yup, you still get damaged even though you block your opponent's hits and projectile attacks, however the damage is not that big, only a tinsy bit. Heck even in MKSM you still get a little damage by the projectiles.
