I dont know if there is a topic like this, but anyway. Who here actually liked the Mileena VS Sonya fight in the second movie? I did. I think Dana Hee actually portrayed Mileena quite well, she even managed to perfect the whole "jump from a high place with two sharp knifes in hand screaming psychotically" thing that you would expect from Mileena. The only thing I didnt like was that it wasnt on for long enough, and that the film team had to pin high hopes on the women fighting in mud for the scene to sell.
Anybody else feel the same?

The fight was good. The bad thing is that Mileena didn´t have any story in the movie. And I would like to see Mileena vs. Kitana fight in the movie

For those who havent seen the fight go to Dana Hee's official website, you can see it there. Pity, I'd like to put it on my Ipod but I cant. :I
Anyway, I agree a Kitana VS Mileena fight would be good, but they mucked up big time with the Scorpion VS Sub-Zero fight so I wouldnt think it would be too good.

How? I think had Sheeva not been in the movie then Mileena could of had alot more screen time, perhaps even gotten her name mentioned while on screen. Sheeva hadnt even gotten a fight scene. I hope in the next movie Mileena returns, since Deception her fan base has almost exploded into new figures. Not that she wasnt popular before, but lately shes become a REALLY popular fighter.

Too bad though, I wanted to see Mileena's Tarkatan mouth and also that I was going to expect some long fight scene. But no it was only short. >_<

Mileena did have the opportunity to become a great villain. It's too bad it got cut short with Sonya because she could have played a key role in the next movie. And for the record, Mileena vs. Kitana would be a great idea for any MK fan. The people deserve to see a good fight such as that one. It would be a mistake for a fight like that to not appear.

If there was any film company that would make a new MK movie, then that's were I want to see a Mileena vs. Kitana match, a battle between 'sisters'. That would be worth something to watch eh.

I'm surprised that as such a key fighter in Khan's army that she had such a small role. Like I mean, she has VERY strong ties with Shao Khan, yet in the film shes more of a lowly soldier to him. Personally she would have been a better General than Ermac. Why? Because Mileena hates Kitana, and Kitana is hostage in this movie, giving both characters a better storyline and an even more climatic battle.

That was one of my favorite fights, and it would of been good if her and Kitana had a long fight against each other, and Mileena had more of a story into the movie.

Personally I thought it was one of the lesser scenes, by far. I liked her line (or the connected line) "Kitana?"-"You wish.", yeah you know. But that was it, I think it definitely lacked, hardcore. Great potential alas, the mud had been demeaning (not to women alone, but to great fight scenes of all types), as Mileena was a simple fighter in comparison to the great and climatic scenes of her fellow assassins (the drawn out Cyrax scene; the bad-ass Smoke scene; tarkatan warriors jumpin' on shit scene)...
...I agree both Mileena and Kitana battling it out would be tight, in a comic book. The movies can not adapt the power and emotion meant, not with their budget back then anyway. A new movie now could get Mileena her 'sexy' costume and Kitana a better costume and if they'd wear the scene to what it is meant to be...could make to be one of the most emotional and powerful fight scenes ever grasped by the screen.

Okay this fight "had" potential. But it didn't live up to it. And you can't judge it on what it could have been. It was lame. Sure seeing two of your favourite fictional characters come to life was amazing, but deep down you know the cheap editing [ooh I'm dirty, now I'm not, now I am, now I'm not as much] and absolute random lines for the general public [Kitana!?]. No one would understand that who didn't know the series. And it's not like an easter egg for fans. It's just bad writing. The fight itself was pretty short. I always find myself being among the smaller group of people who liked this Sonya as opposed to the one from part one. Sure she can't act, but she was eye candy. This whole fight was eye candy. Who knows however part 3 will follow if it ever gets made. Mileena wasn't killed, just defeated. So she could have a role in the next one if it continues.

One of the biggggest dissapointments I had with this fight scene, was the fact that Mileena never took off her mask to show that crest smile!
For some reason, I couldve sworn she did. But when I bought it and watched it, nothing happen.
I totally caught the whole "women wrestling in mud" thing and totally threw me off.
In simplest form of explanation...It was lame.
But it wasnt the actresses fault. Whoever choreographed the fight, was severely inadequate to do so. Dana Hee is beautiful.
That line "Kitana?" "You wish" was also non helpful as Kitana did not look a drop like Kitana. Had they given her a darker suit instead of that bright pink, and or a tan like Soto, then I can understand the confusion.
The actress who played Sonya delivered better acting than the first one I think, but the first one was.... actually theyre both very pretty.
But thats not the point here. hahaha.
