Post subject: Can you guys help me understand something...? |

Okay, I'm fairly new to MK so help me figure something out. Scorpion was orginally sent when he was human on a mission. In the end he was killed by Sub-Zero. He was then given a deal in hell that he would be able to go back to earth and get his revenge in place of his memories. But, if he is the Elder Gods' Champion, doesn't that mean he is good now and can't respawn from Hell? And, if this is true, he can die in MK:A?

He is not evil or good, he's neutral so maybe he can die in MK:A, he's still a spectre and as a neutral character he only do things for him, so maybe he can die but he maybe still can respawn from hell but in a more difficult way.

Scorpion is now a good guy. If you recall from his ending in Deception, he was "forever changed" when he saw the elder gods. He agreed to be their champion because he decided to fight for good.

Well, doesn't that mean he can't respawn from Hell? Does he respawn from another realm now?

I'm not completely sure. I would assume that unless the elder gods broke the hold on his soul from the Netherrealm, he will respawn from there.

Oh my goodness.... I can't believe I have to explain this again...
Character endings in ANY MK game cannot be considered canon. Ever. I mean, unless the Mk team actually says that it's true, then it would be counted as true. But any of the Deception endings cannot be considered part of the storyline until we know the story of Armageddon.
Scorpion, as of now, is NOT the Elder Gods' Champion. He is neutral, having no allies and Quan Chi, the onis, and Sub-Zero as his enemies. Since Scorpion is NOT human, and is a spectre (which means he cannot die), it is uncertain if Scorpion will "die" in MKAr.

Well, you spelled canon wrong (it's only one n when refering to credibility and othet things), and it was just a theory. I never said that he was, only IF he was. Also, he is technically a ghost. I was just trying to get ideas, nothing more.

The point I proved is that Spectre and Ghost are synonymous, there for he is technically a ghost too. Anywauy, back on topic people? Do you think Scorpion might be killed off?

Yeah. I think Scorpion will not just die like that. It may sound kinda weird coming from me but I think Scorpion is the franchise of MK, but that's just me saying it. Im not saying that you should agree with me or anything, just saying whatever comes in my mind in this topic. That's all.

I like Scorpion but I think he should be killed off. Im suck of the whole "he cant be killed" title he has, kill him off in Armageddon then surprise us by bringing him back in the ninth or tenth game. But I see your theory TTR_loves_Mittens, and you make a fair point. Scorpion may be vulberable to death now. Hes already gotten his revenge, and if this game lives up to the hype it has, he will probably kill Quan Chi and be rewarded rest in the afterlife until he returns again.
