hello im new for the mk world i just got the game a few days a go and i dont know much of the storie.i have question about some of the characters one of them is scorpion.is he a good good guy or a bad guy.
please answer thx

I don't claim to know all there is to know about MK, but even I know that Sub-Zero didn't kill Scorpion's family. Quan Chi arranged the deaths of Scorpion's clan and family, and then told him that it was Sub-Zero who did it.
(to all the veterans with the infinite knowledge of the MK universe, I hope I didn't butcher the story. feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.)

scorpion is neutral except on the Deception ending for him it says the gods used him as there tool to destroy Onaga and it was infact scorpion who was the true champion of mortal kombat or something like that.

His ending said he was the true champion of the elder gods, not the tournament. You could almost say that he is still neutral in a way, since the "good" side is Earthrealm, and the "bad" side are all of those who want Earthrealm. Since the elder gods have nothing to do with mortal affairs, and Scorpion is only to stop the One Being from coming back, you can't really classify his mission as good or bad.

I do believe this is in the movie discussion area so I'm going to talk about him from the movies:
In the first MK movie, Scorpion was technically working for Shang Tsung. As Tsung put it: "Scorpion and Sub-Zero: deadliest of enemies...But slaves under my power." Perhaps because Tsung promised Scorpion he could kill Sub-Zero during the tournament if he helped Sub-Zero defeat Earthrealm's warriors first, or another reason, I'm not sure. (Some of this I derrived from Mortal Kombat: the Journey Begins)
In the second MK movie, Scorpion again seems to be working for the bad guys, by kidnapping Kitana and delivering her to Shao Kahn. Perhaps this is due to the fact Kahn allowed him to escape the Neatherealm after his death in the first movie, or an alterior motive, it's never said.
Note that the movies are considered their own stories and do not provide canon information with regards to the games.

Scorpion was a bad guy in the movies, because his charactor was preceived as being a slave under Shang Tsung's power (Along with Sub-Zero).
The movies and the video games follow different plots due to the director and the writers wanting to change things to make thing simpler for the general audience to understand.
The general audience wouldn't be able to follow the movie if there were seperate stories for every charator like the game has laid out. It would be way too much.

I just remembered now on the MKA DVD there's a description of all the characters and I kind of skimmed Scorpions. As I recall, it explains why he does what he does in the 2nd movie, but again I only skimmed over it. If any of you have the DVD, look over Scorpion's bio in the special features, it might provide insight into why he helped capture Kitana in the 2nd movie.
