You got it all wrong man:
1.:Scorpions family was killed
2.:Quan Chi told Scorpion that Sub-Zero killed his family
3.:Scorpion defeats Sub-Zero,but he realise that he couldnt kill his family(see MK2 Ending)
4.:Scorpion swores to protect Sub-Zero(also MK2)
5.:Quan Chi tells Scorpion that he (Quan Chi) is the murderer.(MK4 Ending)
6.:Scorps new "mission":Kill Quan Chi(from MKDA to Armageddon)
result:Scorpiopn is only interested in solving his own problem,therefore he is neutral  4 EVER!!!
