I tried for years to perform animalities on the PS1's Mortal Kombat Trilogy, and after consulting various internet sites I discovered that animalities can
a) Only be performed in the third round of a fight
b) Only be performed after a "Mercy" has been performed (the winner gives his opponent some HP back to continue fighting)
What none of the sites were able to tell me was how to perform a mercy! Can anyone confirm if this is real or not, αnd if so, tell me how to perform a Mercy? ANd if its not true, WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?!

Run (down, down, down, down), release Run
(hold run button, then press down 4x and finally release the run button).

OR! You could just use the one button fatalities, it ignores the mercy limit. Go into the options menu and hold ^, R1, R2, L2, L1 til you hear a noise, then go into the question mark then turn on one button fatalities. THe special fatalities (Animality, ect....) Are all done by the r and l buttons.

Yeah, I've done it that way, but I prefer being a ombat master and doing all fatalities manually.
