I agree with haf the people here, after Deception came out, it was basically DA with improvments. While I like the characters like Nitara and Drahmin and I wish there were more of them in Depception, I find the fighting to be better, the death traps to be awesome and the Konquest to be much much MUCH more fun.

I found once Deception was released, it was hard to go back to Deadly Alliance. While both offer good characters, Deception brings back a lot more old favourites, improved the Konquest mode vastly, and played better in my opinion.
I still haven't unlocked all the items in MKDA's Krypt however...Stupid Onix and Platinum koins...Those are the only koffins I have left to open...I might go back to playing DA just to unlock the rest of the items.

I still play it for Puzzle Kombat, especially because certain people I play against, like Linkuei Master can't touch me at it. But I agree that the normal mode didn't change enough for me either.
EDIT: You should probably ignore this, I had a thick moment and was thinking of the wrong game!

I bought DA last week - I was actually more impressed than I thoguh I'd be given I've played Deception, but I liked that there was more older characters in it - Jax, Johnny Cage, Sonya, Cyrax, Shang Tsung and Kitana - instead of Dariou, Darius, Shujinko, Ashrah etc. And I like dfthe Impale thing - why isn't that on MKD?
But I didn't like only having one fatality - it was really boring in that respect. And there didn't seem to be many special moves per character, and Shang tsung and Quan Chi were too easy to have as main bosses.
IOn general the playability of DA is far more limited than that of MKD.

i hate to say it but i prefer DA over MKD because Reptiles on DA and i Know all of his combos.

i love getting double flawless victories on Moloch with Reptile i remember when i could barely beat Moloch! lol know I beat him with no hits in the crab style of Reptile!!!!!

ha cool. I feel so cheap fighting him the way I do. Just run in, do a few 3 hit combos then run away again. Meh, it works and nothing else I've tried seems to.
