As far as characters go, obviously they will all be participating in this one one which leaves me to wonder, will there be WAY too much redundancy with moves and fatalities?
I mean, break it down :
Shujinko and Shinnok - Both same idea, copies moves
Rain and Raiden and Nightwolf - Both will control lighting
Reiko and Noob Saibot - Both now, are known for their shurikens
Kano, Jarek, and Kobra - All now known for the heart rip
The list really goes on and on. So this leaves me worried (especially with the whole "Kreat-A-Fatality" idea) that with so much going on, won't it get too redundant unless they come up with some really good ideas? What are you veiws on this? _________________

The new arial combat system should allow for more diversity between each fighter's moves. While they will have similar ideas between their move sets, there will be differences. Since it's more of a nostalgic game, redundancy doesn't bother me so much.

like Sub-Zero said, this game is gonna be nostalgic for most people, so the actual content of the game is gonna take a backseat to, "omg Stryker's in this game! omg omg omg!" plus, there are only so many combinations of punches and kicks that can be made. I'm expecting a few characters to have the same fighting styles because of that.
I don't think the redundancy of things is going to take the enjoyment out of the game for me, though. as long as I can kick all the butts with Mileena and Sindel, I'll be good to go. ^_^ _________________ Nikki: your friendly neighborhood moderator. ^_^

Also, this game allows people to create their own fighters AND their own fatalities. I think that in itself will help to break down a lot of the redundancy. It bothered me in previous games (MK4, MK5, MK6) when the fatalities were not that good and many were similar to others. But I think this new game is going to offer so much more in terms of characters, kontent and everything else that, even if some fatalities are the same, it won't be a big deal. _________________

For me, there are some moves or styles that generally suits more than one character. For example, The shadow kick fits Jade and Cage pretty well.
As long as styles and moves aren't used over and OVER again cough *MKSM versus mode* cough, then I would be fine _________________ Very Angry Girls Instigate Negative Attitudes.
