i think they should make the movie along the lines of the game,mortal kombat4.what you think? Shinnok as the boss and Quan Chi as the bad ass sub boss.

Yeah it makes sense to one another...it was a question on what u think of the mk3 movies story line would be like.

I highly doubt it will be Shinnok considering what happened to him at the end of the 2nd movie (the Elder Gods basically made him fold up and vanish from existance). That old guy in MKA is Shinnok as listed as that in the credits, so it was him. As you can see already from that, Shinnok's story is very different from his in the games.
I think more likely the plot will follow Deadly Alliance somewhat or have a more new plot seperate from MK games altogether, but have characters from the games. Then again they might have Shinnok, I don't know. There's not enough information released on the 3rd movie to know what's going to happen in it.

Of the 2 movies, I thought the first one was good. The fight scenes are wiked, the story stuck pretty true to the first second games. I don't know why some people say it was bad, especially MK fans.

I know that the producer of the first movie is producing this 3rd one, so I doubt it will be anywhere near as bad as the 2nd movie. Also, we'll see the return of Christopher Lambert as Raiden, Linden Ashby as Johny Cage and Robin Shou as Liu Kang, so that in itself makes it better than the second movie.
I just wish they'd start releasing more information about it. The last new update I got was that "Katrina set us back" (reference to hurricane Katrina in the United States for those who don't know). Mentions about this movie have been coming and going for years now, and yet we don't even know what the plot is. On IMDB is says the following for the plot:

The first film kicks ass And it was based on MK1+MKII game stories.
The second film was OK [I just liked seeing the others like Cyrax and Rain Ermac ect.. even tho they mixed up the moves and shit.] but the film was bassed on MK3 with abit of MK4 ie shinnok being involved.
NUmber 3 film I have been egarly waiting for, for a long time now. but it should be set on MK-DA+ MK-D. Onarga is a much better bad guy than shinnok. With Shang being killed in the first film they could use that as how he meat Quan Chi in the nethrealm and they could escape together.

I believe the first film was based entirely on MKI (excluding the cliffhanger presenting MKII). Though the second film was based entirely on MKIII (excluding Shinnok's little intervention).
I'm assuming Devastation is not going to based on any peticular game considering it is far too difficult to pull off the necessary effects of Deception with their expected low budget. But I have no problem with that, as long as they don't start something as stupid as the 'Shinnok being the father of Shao Kahn and Rayden' thing.

seeing how movies are today i know it will be better then mk2,now i cant wait for this new movie,i hope there will be more sub-zero action in it then the prevous movies.

I'd heard somewhere that they were thinking about basically making this 3rd movie to overwrite the 2nd one because it was SO shitty (it got one of the lowest ratings I've ever seen, even lower than Ultraviolet!!!). I forget where I heard this but I think it was from a site and it was a quote from one of the writers or whatever.
I'd be quite content if they did this considering how BADLY MKA was. I mean...My god, I'm getting pissed just thinking about its shittiness. It would also be an easier story because they could follow MK3 with ease and make a great movie out of it (let's face it, MK3 had one of the best plots of all the MK games, at least I feel that way).
