I definitely don't think they should remake MKA, it may have sucked, but remaking it won't help!
I like MKIII's plot, but they need something new, something phenomenal and original...but I highly doubt it...
...once again, I don't think they should follow a game storyline, they need something fresh...

NUmber 3 film I have been egarly waiting for, for a long time now. but it should be set on MK-DA+ MK-D. Onarga is a much better bad guy than shinnok. With Shang being killed in the first film they could use that as how he meat Quan Chi in the nethrealm and they could escape together. |
I believe the first film was based entirely on MKI (excluding the cliffhanger presenting MKII). Though the second film was based entirely on MKIII (excluding Shinnok's little intervention).
I'm assuming Devastation is not going to based on any peticular game considering it is far too difficult to pull off the necessary effects of Deception with their expected low budget. But I have no problem with that, as long as they don't start something as stupid as the 'Shinnok being the father of Shao Kahn and Rayden' thing. |
MK1 the first game is set on shangs Island. the second game [MKII] comes in to the first film when Shang kidnaps Sonya Blade ond fucks of through the portal to out world. Another MK 1 film moment that is based on the second game is Lui Kang Vs Reptile in the wastlands. [Of Out world]
The diferance is of course in the Game Khan alows shang to go back to earth and kidnap Sonya to lore the others in to his out world turnoment not just snatch and grab her before he even losses. I don't think the game version os Shang would pussy out like that so quikly.
As for MKAn... Shinnok is the only ref of MK4.

I think it will be loosely based on Deadly Alliance and Deception, with a few of Hollywoods "twists" on certain thinks.
Although they will avoid acknowledging the second movie, you can't avoid it completely because people will question the plot, so they will probably pull little elements from the 2nd movie to help the general audience who aren't hardcare fans like we are to be able to follow the movie.

the way i heard was that they where just going to let MKA die and act like it never happened, i see that as a good thing, and they can start off fresh and do the REAL sequel to it, and have a better shao kan, not a pussy like on Anihiliation
