Armageddon shouldn't be on Revolution because it's set to be the last installment of the MK series on CURRENT gen consoles. Revolution is a NEXT gen console.

they may make the Revolution backwards compatible so if it's released on GameCube, then you'll be able to play it on the Revolution, but that's the most you can hope for.

Also, the controller for the Revolution looks like a remote control. I remember Ed Boon reading that it'd be almost impossible to play MK -AR with that controller, which is one reason why it'll never make it onto that system.

That and what ChibiHana said, it's a nextgen console. MK -AR is for the current/old-gen systems: (PS2/Xbox)

If you remove the joystick and turn the new Revolution controller sideways, then it is just the original NES controller with a face lift. The controller doesn't have enough buttons for MK, and there's no way you could play a fighting game while using the attached joystick.

I really hope that the new controller isn't the only option for the Revolution. I hope it gets either a revamped CameCube style controller, or a controller like PS2 and Xbox. they're both so much easier to use, for me, at least.

If I could find a slightly larger 360 controller, I'd be happy. Otherwise I'm always feeling like: HULK SMASH!!!!

Heck, for the first 10 minutes that I bought the gamecube (on opening day no less) I stared at this controller. It was so miniscule.

Then my xbox controller was beautiful, but they went and brought the japanese controller in, I cried.

And well, you get the idea.

well, I meant the positioning of the buttons. the GameCube controller is so awkward for fighting games for me because I'm used to the symmetry of the PS2 controller. the size of the GameCube controller is perfect, because my hands are really small.

The thing that kinda annoys me about people commenting on the controller is the fact that they think the Rev is just limited to the remote style controller. It has 4 Gamecube controller ports on the back of it, and they have said that there is some sort of shell being made for the remote part, which you insert into for games like MK. I was a bit surprised even Boon seemed to think the Rev was limited to the new style controller, when it has the option to do so much more.

This is a concept of what people expect the Rev's controller shell to look like. read more about it HERE

Notice it has 4 Gamecube controller ports Smile

Regards,

now now, children... settle down. =x

as for the controller, I didn't think Nintendo would be so stupid as to not make another type controller for the Revolution. using just the remote style would really limit things for game possibilities...

but I really would like to see them just put the four buttons on the right side in a diamond shape and make the buttons all the same shape and size and texture. that's all I would need to feel so much more comfortable with the Cube controller. come on, Nintendo... heed my call... make a good controller that doesn't make me wanna bash my head in. >_<
