I'm really starting to question if this movie will ever be released. I remember almost 2-3 years ago when they said it would be out by 2004 or something like that. IMDB has it listed on there but there's so little information on it that it seems like they haven't even started filming it yet. In fact, IMDB's last update was February 2005!
According to IMDB, last I checked, it was supposedly coming out this year (2006), but I've seen no previews for it, no new information, nothing! I don't even know if there's a legitimate, official MKIII movie web site that possesses information about the movie, or even unofficial sites that have information that is not just rumors!
I google searched for an official movie site and found nothing but unofficial ones. This is really pissing me off. I'm starting to think that this movie will never come out, or will simply be canceled if there has even been any work done on it.
Does anyone here know about an official release date or official web site? Does anyone here have news about the movie released THIS year? And why is it taking so damn long to release information about it? It's getting rediculas...

im on the same page as you ive tried several times looking for MKIII movie info and nothing comes up the MK website hasnt been updated since deception came out

IGN.com got reports last year confirming the movie was in progress. Apparently the movie was schedualed for a Summer 2006 release, and they going to have a new building built at a theme park in Louisiana for this movie, along with other upcoming films, to be produced.
The building was going to be a park of the theme park where you could walk through and get a glimpse of movies actually being filmed (probably though windows and such so you couldn't disturb the sets).
When Hurricane Katrina hit, the park was almost destroyed, and now the movie is yet again in question.

Hey, thanks for that information. Though it really doesn't tell us more about when the movie'll actually be released, if it ever is, it's nice to know there's at least some "new" information about it. Again though, this is dated almost a year ago, so who knows what state the movie is in now.

...I think I heard about that at Six Flags: Jazzland...but I didn't know they were considering MKIII as well...or I would've looked into it...obviously havne't gone since Katrina...and I don't think a summer 2006 release is really expected...

Its going to be ages away as Robin Shou and Keith Cooke are filming another film which isn't out til next year (I think its called Dead Man/Mule Suitcase cos I'm sure L Ashby in it as well)

More likely the movie would be released during the time of the release date of the game. Supposedly halo is doing that, with peter jackson anchoring the project and dead or alive having kevin nash as bass.

 No offence, but since the movie has been backed down so many times, it may never come out, so don't get your hopes up, I mean last I heard on the movie they were going to bring back Johnny Cage...Honestly stupid choice, but eh if it ever comes out, I can't wait to see it

That's not a stupid choice at all. If you had read any other topic regarding this film, you would know that they are making it as though Annihilation never happened. Therefore, they can do whatever they want....as long as it doesn't mess up the first one.

To be honest, I don't think it will ever me made, for several years they have promised us a third MK film. Over these years, people have heard and shared with us many rumors about it. After all that I have heard, I have decided not to care whether it comes oput or not. They had plans before Deadly Alliance was even made, there have bewen rumors but there is no actual proof that it is ever going to be made. Can you think of any other film that has had rumors about being made and studios are planning it, and it taking this long to even get started.
Probably in 07, it will be promised for 08, then 09 and so on, but never actually be made.
