 Wow wall of text!! Yeah I agree, they could just say something like, yeah he got fed up of fighting for a bit and went into a disadvantaged middle school to teach children the ways of the street while trying to really find himself. Or, yeah he went over.....there for a bit.

my god man that would have taken me my entire dinner brake to write [2 finger typing] some of your points i agree wiv but as far as MK8 never being as good as MK-A thats some thing I would never say cuz MK8 may well be the bigest game in terms of what you can do!/amount of the moves and fatalites per dude or dudet. not just the amount of players to pick from!

yeah i think MK8 will still be good as long as they make a well balanced and logicle storyline thats easy to follow and have atleast the neccesity characters such as Scorpion,Sub-Zero,and Reptile lol

Yes I think that Midway shoud make the game so that some of the regular charactars survive into making it into future series. About the new things that are not always good. Much agreed. Quite frankly I hated Kobra, Li Mei, Dairou and Havik. If Midway killed these wasters off in the new MK:A - I would not miss them at all. But if they get rid of the popular charactars then I think that Mortal Kombat will be a hit but not in a good way  . I just hope that Midway don't make the same mistake with MK:A that Namco did with SCIII.
Here are favourite charactars I want to see survive after MK:D are:
Sub-Zero
Raiden
Reptile
Scorpion
Ermac
Kitana
Fujin
Jade
Ashrah
Baraka
Onaga
On the other hand if would not bother me if that these listed below get killed off which are:
Havik
Kai
Reiko
Kobra
Nightwolf
Jax
Sonya
Mileena
Kira
Drahmin
But if they get rid of Raiden and Sub-Zero. Then I will have to consider another game. I really would miss these two fighters as they are both my top favourite fighters  .

I agree with you about those fighters. It was Sub-Zero, Scorpion and Reptile that really made Mortal Kombat as popular as it is today. Without these - Mortal Kombat would just not feel right let alone look wierd  .

To keep me loyal to buying MK games, they have to have a minimum returning cast of:
-Scorpion
-Raiden
-Reptile
And I mean that's as minimum as it goes. However, for me to actually be happy with the franchise, I'd like to see the following return after MK-AR:
-Smoke
-Rain
-Ermac
-Scorpion
-Sektor
-Shao Kahn
-Raiden
-Reptile
-Kitana
-Mileena
If those characters are the only original ones to return, I'd be happy still.

I doubt Scorpion will go, just because MK would plummet on the markets if he was gone, and he is Ed Boon's favourite character. Raiden could potentially die off for good, if his God status vanished again and he was killed.
What I don't get is, unless the Neatherealm and the Heavens are completly gone and the souls of the dead just non-existant, how is it characters will never be able to come back? Even ones that have died before have made their way back to MK, so how is it they'll kill them off for good? That's really what I'm wondering.
