|
| |
Something that crossed my mind last night was that, shouldn't the 'final boss' of Deadly Alliance been Shang Tsung AND Quan Chi fighting against you together in one round?
How I'd imagine it to work would be similar to MK1's Endurance Match. Basically, you fight one of the two first, then the second appears once he's defeated, and you have to fight the next one with the same amount of health left from the previous fight.
I think this would have made for a much more difficult final boss, as I found MKDA's boss to be not that difficult overall. Also, considering this was the first game for the boss (or bosses in this case) to win, you'd think that the boss should be the most difficult to beat in game...
Just my 2 cents. What are your opinions? _________________

I agree. It should have been a joint fight, but then again, perhaps the MK team didn't think to do that, or perhaps they just decided not to for what ever reason. _________________

i also agree i found Moloch to be way harder to beat then the final 2 and i usually get flawless victories on Moloch and the 2 bosses

I would have liked to have seen a Noob-Smoke type match with them. _________________

They did that for the Gameboy advance version, but I think it was so that you would be able to perform a fatality on both of them so it would be a little more entertaining. For instance, when I beat Noob-Smoke, I get frustrated that it implies I killed both of them when really, I only killed Smoke. _________________

Yeah, I'd agree with the endurance idea. The bosses were well weak, although it was rewarding to be able to perform a fatality on the end boss. _________________ Author of "Mortal Kombat: The Final Battles" - check out Fan Fiction and feel free to post comments! *Updated 08/04 - Smoke and Kurukaze*

Yeah, but that wasn't really signature (or entertaining) performing a Fatality makes it more valuable because it's up to you to finish them how you please. Rather than always the same way. _________________

Now you mention it it would of actually made more sense to do it as a joint battle because it would have made it more difficult and it would have been unique. _________________ Yippie Ki Yay

Hence why he's a playable character for versus mode. Shinnok was such a shitty 'final boss' he was no more powerful than any of the other players...
Back to the DA discussion, Quan Chi and Shang Tsung were basically like fighting Shinnok. Both were standard playable characters on the character selection menu, they both were weak-ass bosses, and the sub-boss was more difficult.
At least they corrected this mistake in MKD...But still, definatly fighting them in a type of endurance match like in UMK3 or whatever would have been a better challenge and made more sense. _________________
