Yeah but Shinnok's character could be fixed up a bit, and the MK4 plot could still work out. They could make him look like he did in the games, and say it was a new look spawned from being in the Neatherealm. It'd be a lot better than how Raiden got his "new look"...

...I hope they follow MKIV...that would be bad-ass...
...I've always wanted to see Fujin in some movie/flyin'/kickin' ass/crossbow shootin' goodness...and maybe Rayden won't look like a panzy...
...but how are they gonna show Cage...resurrected?

yea i think he will be in this one but he wll have the help of quan chi because i think the deadly alliance should be in mk 3 devastation because i read a little thing about the movie and it said quan chi would be in it but it didnt say anything about shang tsung but who knows but i know that they are going to bring fujin into this one and tanya and they are going to bring abck johnny cage and it said that lui kang would be in this one so i dont really know if shang tsung is going to be in this one so we will just have ot wait and see if he is going to be in this one or not so here is my opinion i think he might be in this one but i think they will have shinnok instead.

...I know they like to mutilate the storyline in MK as much as possible and that would probably be a very dramatic ending though they probably won't...
...who would kill off Shinnok then? Maybe Kai as they seem to want to replace Liu Kang with Kai in MKIV...

Just to let you know:
All my MK:Dev. sources (the unofficial site, wikipedia and even imdb) claim that the confirmed characters are Sub-Zero (Cooke), Quan Chi (Maropis) and Scorpion (Casamassa). I have also read what Robin Shou said about Liu Kang not being the main MK3 guy (http://mk3movie.mortalkombatonline.com/). So the most possible solution is that the third movie will revolve around Sub-Zero/Quan Chi/Scorpion triangle.

I think the movie is going to based on the MK4 plot, the others like MK the first movie was based on the first game's plot, and the second movie was based on MK2 and MK3 plot. So nine out of ten, the 3rd movie is going to be based on MK4 plot.

It would be cool, if the ending was liu kang dying. Then I would understand the devastation. And then of course bicycle kick someone. The deadily alliance would be a good rebound after losing fans after the massacre of the second movie.
