Is that what you got back from ur emails?
Its funny cuz if goro ruled the tourniment that means its used for evil cuz goro is evil and he ruled it..and he could do what he wanted from the tourniment..but i thought the elder gods made mortal kombat...

I'll clear this all up about Goro ruling.
Mortal Kombat was divised as a means to prevent Shao Kahn from simply invading Earthrealm. In order to invade, he needed to win 10 straight victories in a row. For many years, the tournament was hosted by the Temple of the Order of Light (aka the White Lotus Society).
However, when Shang Tsung came around, he defeated the monks and took control of the tournament himself. He then succeeded to winning 9 tournaments in a row, but was defeated by the Great Kung Lao (not the one playable in Shaolin Monks, MK2, MK3, etc.).
With this defeat, the enraged Shao Kahn banished Tsung to the mines of Shokan, where he came across Goro. He then took Goro into the next Mortal Kombat and Goro killed the Great Kung Lao. With this, Tsung began to host the tournament on the his island, with Goro as the ruling champion. He once again, via Goro, won 9 tournaments in a row. Goro was defeated however by the monk Liu Kang, as was Tsung.
I'm sure you all know the rest of the story, you just need to read the MK2 story or play Shaolin Monks.
