I disagree, the second in a trilogy is almost always the best. (Except for the Matrix, which the first one was the only good one.) The first one is spent too much on plot developement. The Third one they are usually running out of steam, or are stretched to put an ending together. Or George Lucas takes over and directs. ^_^ All ending in decent for parts but average of Crap.
Examples: Ewoks, Everyone but ripley is dead.
