I agree. I don't understand why they hate him either, but Stryker is one of my favorites. I can remember most of his moves and fatalities when I play Trilogy. Besides, he deserved that appearance in the game--his name had been floating around since the first game.

Think about it. Kano never used his "laser eye" until MK3. All he did on MK1 was throw knives and roll. Whats so special about that?
On MK1, everyone else gets credit for performing superhuman feats.
Johnny Cage gets credit for his famous shadow kick. His fireball wasn't quite the force ball he gets in MK2, but it's still a fireball dammit.
Raiden flies and shoots lightning.
Liu Kang does this ridiculous flying kick and throws a fireball that looks like a dragon.
Scorpion teleport tackles and launches a spear outta his hand.
Sub-Zero can shoot ice from his hands and freeze his enemies.
Sonya can do a flying punch and throw a ring of energy.
What does Kano do? He THROWS a KNIFE and ROLLS!! Some moves.
Now compare him to everyone else. Shoot, compare him to Stryker!
Even Kano's MK3 moveset wasn't that good, except for the fact that he gets his laser eye... AS A FATALITY!!! Good luck winning with these moves. Point is, Stryker doesn't need to do superhuman feats to overcome his foes.
Also, Stryker CAN jump clear across the screen with a nightstick attack.
Thats quite a jump. He has an unlimited amount of grenades and bullets. That sounds rather superhuman. Never runs out of plastic explosives... wow. Just a bloke with a gun huh? I think he's a bit more than that.

Well spoken HybridFury, I do beleive that takes care of the MK1 roaster. But still, MK2-T were hosts to some great characters. The updated version of Johnny Cage was great, the MK2 version of Sub-Zero was perhaps the best one, and so much more. But still, you have given the key facts that show that Stryker owns all.

He doesnt OWN anything. Rain is a joke character and his fanbase is bigger than Strykers. Khameleon was classed as a minor character and alot of people prefer her over Stryker. At the most, I've spotted a handful of people on the forums that like him, if he was as cool as his fans make him out to be then his fanbase would be bigger.

He still has fans who like him, which is important. I don´t care if most of MK fans hate him.

people can hate who they want it is a gift we all have. diferant people hate diferant things cuz we are differant if you want to tell people your reasons for the hate thats grate but if like me they no what you are saying and do not agree then ha toughf luck try a diferant aproch or simply sulk quiatly to your self. [i do this my self]
I don't like the normal blokes or chicks in the game ie Sonya jax kano kage stryker ect.. this is purly due to the fact they are nurmal humans and i like fantasy but thay need to be in the game "Mortal Kombat" and i'll use them in MK-A but not very ofen. it's good to have normal players in there even Kobra but he just not for me and no one will ever change my mind so ner ner  ne ner ner

I like Jobra, he had bad ass styles, and moves. But, he is no were near the greatness of Stryker.

Havik was pretty cool, Love the Morning Star. Kobra would never compare, since he is one of the three worst characters ever.
I guess what I didn't like about Stryker is that he's one cop too many.

I don't actually hate anyone in MK (though I hate Tanya but that cos she betrays everyone  ) their storylines work well which to me is more important than the game itself. Truthfully I don't actually care about the fighting its the story that interests me the most if Ed Boon decided to write novels of the MK universe I would read them rather than play the games.
