Well, from what I have seen so far, there seems to be a rather diverse amount of character creation items, but what about body types?
Are we going to be stuck with a simple muscle bound male modle and a lithe female modle?
Can't we go in detail and twist and turn the character so that they, say, are nearly 2D?
Can I twist a guy so he looks more like a bug?
I generally like the extremes one can do. _________________ Highest Kreate-A-Fatality string: 11, with both normal fighters and giant class fighters. Ultimate Fatality!

Keep in mind that what we will get, is will most likely just be the basic male and female character models for the created characters. So, if your expecting a create a character feature like in wrestling games, dont hold your breathe _________________

What I am saying is that it looks very bare bones from what I have seen.
I doubt any game can match the insane character creation in Day of Reconing for the GC. That was wonderful, I was able to make nearly anything with a basic humanoid shape.
But I don't have very high hopes for the KaK mode here. Well... not from what I have seen anyway. _________________ Highest Kreate-A-Fatality string: 11, with both normal fighters and giant class fighters. Ultimate Fatality!

I think that the kreate-a-kombatant feature will not be stellar the first time around, but will be something to look forward to more so when MK makes it over to the next-gen systems. Look at it this way, if it was a top-notch feature, then it wouldn't give them much to improve upon for the next game. I'm glad it's there mostly so I can create classic looking characters if they don't have their original uniforms for an alternate skin.
Also from the fact I can finally create Amphibious and play him in-game. I made the character up way back in 3rd grade I think it was...How the time does fly by...
My point is, even if it's not as good as other create a player modes in other games, it's still a feature that's never made it's way into MK before, and therefore we should just appreciate it for the fact it's in there. I guarentee future MK games will build and expand upon this feature for next-gen MK games, especially if they're going to be killing off most of the original characters. That way fans can re-create them with their own combinations and looks. _________________

i have a different view on it what we've seen from it so far i like the way it looks who knows it has the pontential to be as good as wwe smackdown's create a character. Midway knows how to do good things i have never been disapointed with a midway game i have bought especially mortal kombat they do that game well.

Hmm... you have a point about this being an early build.
I'm mainly interested in making a basic humanoid character, the only strange this is the head where I want to make it little more then a mouth.
The body has a sort of "armored" look, which can probably easly be delt with, as well as the fighting styles provided I can find something along the lines of a two handed weapon that is used like a staff, but the sides are bladed.
That's mainly what I wanna make and I hope I can do it. _________________ Highest Kreate-A-Fatality string: 11, with both normal fighters and giant class fighters. Ultimate Fatality!

A lot of people are giving this whole KAK thing a bad rap and I have to say I think it is highly unjustifable. I mnea, sure, you cannot strecth and skew characters as you see fit, but I mena, it pretty damn extensive. I think, especially for their first time application, it is turning out quite impressive indeed. I give it a gold star anyway.
I hope they add Shokan feature, though. FYI. _________________

Well, the faces are very interesting and highly detailed. I saw that one can include shokan facial features as well as Tarkatan, Skull, flaming skull, vampire, posessed (glowing eyes), zombie, and cyborg for just a few.
I imagine the roster will be much heavier as stuff is unlocked.
I just hope the fighting mechanics are smoothed out a lot more before they ship it out. Seems overly fast and too choppy right now. _________________ Highest Kreate-A-Fatality string: 11, with both normal fighters and giant class fighters. Ultimate Fatality!

overly fast nonesence man the faster the beter .
The speed is a lot closer to how I like to play as far away from the incredably slow Tekken or Vertual fighter games as possible. _________________ Nothing is free! Not even revenge!

I'm not trying to give the Kak mode a bad rap...personally I believe in the MK team, and I'm optimistic about them pulling through to make something very enjoyable _________________ no

two things i want to know:
1:can you write a ending for your custom character?
and
2:can you use them in arcade or are they just for online use?
from the looks of it though it looks good.

I'm sure you can use them in arcade mode. However, I don't see the need or feasibility of writing your own ending into the game. If you make up your own ending in your head, then what more do you need? So unless you know how to code and create scenes in the game, there will be no create an ending in the manner that you speak of.
