The Brotherhood of the Shadow are a cult based around Quan Chi and worship the fallen Elder God Shinnok, scheming and planning for his release from the Netherealm. Its trademarks are stealth, secrecy, deception and involvement with black magic and necromancy. They achieved their goal when Quan Chi was able to get hold of the sacred amulet needed to free Shinnok from his prison, from where he already controlled the entire Netherealm. Agents such as Noob Saibot and Reiko rose to prominence during the subsequent war with Edenia the Earthrealm warriors and Raiden during the events of Mortal Kombat 4.
Their joint effort ultimately failed and Shinnok was defeated. In the events leading up to Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance and Deception, Noob Saibot began eluding Quan Chi's control and prepared for the creation of his own armies, while Sareena and Ashrah left the Brotherhood. With Shinnok eliminated as a presence to reckon with and Quan Chi's own plans with the Deadly Alliance, the Brotherhood seems to have lost its importance or is on hold. It appears that for most (former) members, their time spent with the Brotherhood was merely a catalyst for more important things to come.
I don't know too much about this but according to Wikipedia, they're both worshiped by them

Out of curiousity who's writing this stuff on Wikipedia because I'm not sure if all or most of it is correct

It could be a 25 year old, experienced MKer, a 6 year old with good spelling/grammar, or a 54 year old child porn watcher, no one knows who makes edits on wikipedia because anyone can make edits and changes at any time without membership.
Also, I believe the Brotherhood of the Shadow was lead by Shinnok, but Quan Chi may have started it. I think it dates back to MK Mythologies because Sareena and her 2 sisters had the Brotherhood of Shadow symbol on their uniforms. I think the wikipedia thing shown above is reasonably accurate. Considering Quan Chi was trying to help Shinnok even back then, I think that the wikipedia quote makes sense. I'd have to look into it more in MKD's Konquest mode in Outworld however.

Don't forget Reiko!!!
He had the Simbol on his Uniform and you can fight as Noob when you finished the Game (MK 4) with Reiko.
(Anyway whats the Meaning of Reikos Ending:Hi goes to Shaos Throne and Sits on it wearing Shao Kahn s Crown!! Is he Kahn himself?)

2. No, he is NOT Kahn
3. Its explained in MKD conquest that he likes to wear Kahns helmet around when Kahn isnt around.

Who would be stupid enough to where Shao Kahn's helmet when he's out. I know this might sound stupid but does Kahn have any kids cos it might explain Reiko's behaviour

Sindel is her mother but King Jerrod is her biological father. Kahn her adopted father
though Reiko could be a clone...or not related at all and I'm just rambling (though its worth looking at the problem from all angles a good exercise in logic  )

I think he's just a simple general. I mean, his powers are nothing like Kahn's, there's no mention to the 2 being related at all, and Kahn's way, way stronger. You'd think he'd have trained his son to follow in his footsteps but seems like it's not the case.

I don't know its really strange though the MK team may not had thought this through properly when they created him
I just wondered cos even though MK:Conquest isn't canon there something strange about Shao Kahn's and Reiko's relationship.
