The masked Sub-Zero in MK3/UMK3/MKT is actually allready the younger brother (the 6th Sub-Zero). His elder brother was allready dead. This Sub-Zero didn't enter the tournament to fight Scorpion (thought Scorpion entered the tournament to fight Sub-Zero, because he didn't know it was his brother), but Sub-Zero was fighting at the side of the Earth warriors to fight against the outworld invasion. At the same time he was stalked by the Lin Kuei cyborg assassins. _________________ Dark-Scorpion

Well, in the PSX version of MKT, the masked Sub is the 5th. _________________ Every time I look at myself, I can't believe how awesome I am !!!!

I don't think it is, they just make you think that for mysterious-ness. Or, it is the 5th, and I have 2 explanations:
MKT wasn't an actual MK game, it was just a compilation of the first three MK's, so to make it more interesting, Sub the 5th was put in.
Or it was truly him, because his ending on the PSX states he was a warrior who was in the first tournament but absent from the next, which would obviously be Sub the 5th, not the 6th. And, in the MKM:SZ player's guide, it says the 5th fought in the first tournament, and "some say he was killed and others say he " crept into the darkness or something like that, which implies he would make a return, and if I'm correct, that return was MKT.
What I beleive in is MKT wasn't an actual MK game, it was just a compilation of the first three MK's, so to make it more interesting, Sub the 5th was put in.
So, what do you guys think? And Scorpion Fan, don't act like you know eveything, that's just annoying. And besides that you're completely wrong, Sub never entered to fight Scorpion.

I can answer this all!
Beat the game with Classic Sub-Zero in MK:A. When you see his ending, it says he retired from his deadly job and ran away, leaving his younger brother behind. Besides, he's a mystery, I saw a bio of him over the net that says that he is from the realm of Schislac Busorez, and he is actually a man wearing a ninja garb that possess powers to freeze, when he wins the tournement, he is revealed to not to be Sub-Zeros older brother, just someone else from another realm....
Schislac Busorez: The huge purple portal that dominates the sky in UMK3.
So thats that......

Shit, yeah forgot about that, I gave the wrong answer. In mk2 the masked one is the 6th, in mkt the masked one is the 5th and the unmasked the 6th. Sorry about that! _________________ Dark-Scorpion

It's not the fifth, If you saw my reply above you would understand. The masked Sub-Zero isn't really the 5th, It's just some guy who has is wearing a ninja suit that possess freezing powers.

One theory from UMK3 is that it is Raiden _________________ His approach will be as silent as new fallen snow...his attack as fierce as winter's blizzard...his devastation as brutal as winter's relentless chill...he is complete (Lin Kuei Grandmaster)
So fair... yet so cold... like a morning of pale spring still clinging to winter's chill (Grima Wormtongue)
In the depths of Winter I finally learned that within me there lay an invinsible summer (Albert Camus)

I still beleive my theory... I think it'd be kind of stupid if the 5th never got killed by Scorpion... And TDF, that actually is a good theory, because Midway probably just put him in there, and slapped an explanation on him when they realized it didn't make sense (as those assholes always do, which pisses me off so much). So, from knowing Midway, you could be right. But, I'm just thinking that maybe they had a brain and decided to put him in there for fun.

I was reading a bio on this page, and Classic Sub-Zero is actually from the huge purple portal that is in UMK3. I think the portal leads to a realm for the dead, and he ended up there.
