This is a excerpt from Reptile's MK2 ending:

Would this not imply that there are other survivors of Reptile's race, other than just Khameleon, that Tsung forced into slavery?
Also, I had a theory...Considering the Dragon King came back while Reptile was in the presence of the egg, could it not be assumed that Onaga may also be one or Reptile's species? They're both scaley, have tails, etc. Perhaps it was when Kahn killed Onaga that he decided to destroy most of Reptile's species...
Just some thoughts I had. Your opinions?

A highly likely idea. The reptilian creatures had a Matriarch, and every matriarch needs a king I supose. So it could very well be that he was one of them. Also, the fact that when he came about, it was in reptiles presance, and took over his body, this would mean that through evolotion and such, that they are the same specieces. Which if thats the case, then Reptile could very well look like the Dragon king later in his life.

The Dragon King took over Reptile's body I don't believe the Dragon King is decended from dragons. I know he hatched from an egg but thinking logically about it the priests who guarded the egg may have transferred the Dragon King's soul into it besides his original body had humanoid form which he was still linked to. Reptile was simply a host.
Besides I think Sub-Zero may in fact be desended from the Dragon King after comparing the MKD storylines and endings.
His MK2 ending is iunteresting though and both TV shows do highlight the possibility of there being more of his race.

I always questioned that as well. I always assumed that the rest of his species was just hacked off, disregarding Khameleon. But I guess I was never really sure.
About the whole Onaga thing, I believe his species never even somewhat linked to Reptile's heritage. Though I never really looked into it.

If Reptile and Khameleon were the last to they could already have matted and repopulated there race numbers to a few more but I dout that the Dragon king was related to them. Reptile and Khameleon are from the realm of Zetera [spelling???] Onarga is from outworld is he not? [prob some achent race that was eliminated by someone like Khan or the Shokan / Centors]

Well, even if there are more, the can't be close by because Reptile wouldn't be so reptilian. I mean Zaterra merged with Outworld and you'd think they would all subside there. Guess not.

yeah thats a good point they can't be close by and Reptile & Khameleon can't be in contact much due to the same reason too!! but who knows how long there species takes to repoduce and mature?
This whole conversation is starting to remind me of the sceen in mall rats about super mans genitalier and loise not being able to carry clakes kid!

Well, Reptile is the last male and Khamaleon the last female, so their race of zaterrans or saurians is not completely lost, but they have to find them first and it was thought that Chamaleon is a zaterran too but he's not a so real character and was very weird. I have a question: How old is Reptile?

Considering that his species was from prehistoric earth, and they were nearly all wiped out (unless of course you read that quote from his MK2 ending which implies there are more) thousands of years ago, it's likely he's as old as Kitana, if not older.

If he's from prehistoric earth, then he would definitely be much much older than Kitana. Especially if his race came right from the dinosaurs, that would be millions from now.

I believe it was stated somewhere that the Saurians were the first species the Gods created...but I could just be pulling crap out of my ass...
