Hell i only have a pentuim 3 800 megahertz with a good video card in 128 mb of course 256 is better but still and 512 of ram and im surprised at how many easports newer games work for me or ones that atleast recommend a 1.3 ghz run smooth still of course some dont.

I'm the same. I love MK for the vast universe and mythology surrounding it. The games are fun and diverse from other ones, but it is the characters, their stories, and the stories of the games that I love the most about Mortal Kombat.

Believe it or not some people dont like this game because of the game mechanics or something, they'd rather play Tekken or SNK vs. Capcom and stuff.

EA sports games don't demand that much processing power on the CPU's part. The GPU picks up most of the slack.

aww, don't make fun of old people... they're old, they can't help it. =P
anyway, what drew me into MK and one of the things that still stands out to me is the overall vibe of the game. it's so dark and serious. when I was younger and I played UMK3, I always felt uneasy and a little nervous playing, almost like the characters were gonna jump out of the screen and rip my arms off... I still get like that sometimes. I love it. =D
