Yeah, most of the games I have (MK1, MK2, UMK3, MKT, MKG, MKDA, MKD, MK:SM) and other stuff is available online. It's more so little things found in the Konquest modes that I'll probably need some help diggig up one of these days.

Anywho, I have always wondered one thing about Smoke. I never understood how he fit in with the Lin Kuei in any way. I mean, the Lin Kuei have this vendetta with the Shurai Ryu and yet, he started out having Scorpion's move. Next, I cannot see how smoke incorporates ice. If anything, it incorperates fire. I guess that's just another one of those plot holes that will never be explained.

Well to explain why he used Scorpion's spear, it could be said he was a spy for the Lin Kuei to try to infiltrate their clan (though they always opperated as a loosely-based network, not one unit like the Lin Kuei) there thereby learned some of their moves, like the spear.
Using ice and water elements aren't mandatory training skills in the Lin Kuei. Look at the cyborgs for example. They still don't possess freezing abilities. Though I believe that when Sub-Zero took over the clan, he may have promoted using ice moves more, they are not necessary to be a member of the Lin Kuei (check MKD Konquest to see what I mean).

Wait wasn't the Shurai Ryu formed by a member who left the clan? if thats the case than techniques used by the Lin Kuei originally would still be passed on.

Takeda, the Shurai Ryu founder, was originally from the Lin Kuei, yes. However, he chose to start a new fighting style (ninjistu) in Japan and use more more elements of magic as well as fighting style (ie how Scorpion used to use the spear from his hand apparently). So you raise a valid point, but I think when Takeda started the clan, he tried to make it different from the Lin Kuei in most aspects.

Do ya'll remember Cyrax's ending from MK:Gold? Cyrax went to Jax and Sonya asking them if they can return him to his human state. Jax and Sonya in fact succeeded. If Smoke went to them for help, maybe they could return him back to normal too. His human form is better anywayz. I hate cyborg Smoke. HE'S JUST NOT SMOKE ANYMORE!!!!!!!!

That doesn't seem like something Smoke would do (going to the Special Forces for help). If anything, his freedom would be obtained by freeing his soul another way, not with machines. That's my opinion at least. Initially, Human Smoke's UMK3 was going to be the one they actually went with, but they changed that once they released MKT. Here's his UMK3 ending if you care to know:

I always wondered how damaged Smoke body was when he tried to escape the Lin Kuei (I doubt he was well treated before and after his capture). You'll probably find his body needs the cyborg implants to sustain his life without them he could probably just die.

A) You don't mix movies with the game series. The movies are non-canon in most cases.
