You've only compared him to Kobra and Johnny Cage...so that's just not fair, 'cause they both suck...
...but Meat's even worse than them because it has no storyline...Kobra was at least a trainee of the Black Dragon...what about Meat? Where does it come in?

We'll find that out when Armageddon is released most likely, as he is a confirmed character. For now, all we can do is speculate. But look at his potential. Like Reptile in MK1, he simply shared the moves of other characters, and look how much of a fan fav. Reptile has become!
With MK, the possibilities are endless.

He's not just a big clump of meat! He's a Neatherealm Oni (potentially) or an Outworld being (like the bloody skeletons) compiles of bones and blood!
Kobra was just some retarded looking white guy with a hoody and sticks for weapons who was trying to get into a gang.

My point is, considering some of the character's featured in MK4 (ie Jarek) and MKD (ie Kobra, Dairou, Bo Rai Cho, etc.), Meat is far from a crappy character when compared to them.

For those of you who have know idea who this is, Meat is a bloody skeleton featured in MK4 as a hidden character.
