Was It Me Or Was MK:DA Pretty Poor?
I thought Crypt idea sucked and so did the Konquest mode
Good character selection mode though
Tell me what you thought about it

I personally felt that is was good enough to get MK back on its feet, but no where near as good as it could have been. The Konquest mode was tedious in that it was so repetitive after so many combinations, and some of the combos were just insane (ie Frost's final combo).
The character roster is the real disappointment for me. It's lacking a lot of my fan favourites (Smoke, Sektor, Rain, Ermac) while offering 1 good new character (Frost). They really should have put more classic characters into this game to make it better for the old-school fans. Moreover, the hidden characters were HORRIBLE! Never before have I been more disappointed in the hidden characters featured in a Mortal Kombat game.
I thought the Krypt idea was great, however the major flaw with this game was that it takes forever to aquire Onix and Platinum koins (the only krypts I have left to open are these ones) while giving you huge amounts of green, red, gold and blue ones. On top of that, a lot of the more expensive krypts are just concept art or pictures of the MKTeam, which is disappointing. Nonetheless, the idea is good.
The gameplay was alright, but I found that it was a lot slower pace than that of the 2D MK games and MK4/MKG, which I ultimatly prefer. However, there was still good replay value out of the game and I got used to the slower pace over time (though I still prefer the faster-pace).
Lastly, the final bosses were a major disappointment. As opposed to featuring a massive boss who can do major damage, MKDA simply had an ordinary character (either Tsung or Chi) which were selectable from the beginning of the game. This was much like the mistake made in MK4/MKG with Shinnok - not a very hard final boss at all. To correct this, all they had to do was make Shang Tsung and Quan Chi a tag team, each with seperate health bars, to pose a better challenge.
All in all, 7.8/10 overall as a Mortal Kombat game. _________________

Sure most of the new charachters could have been better. And the kontent could also have been better. But most of it changed into the better in MKD. _________________ Kano wins!!

All you have to do is either fly through Konquest, or play a bunch of chess rounds on hard mode.

There was no chess in MKDA. But if you played "Test Your Might" and "Test Your Sight" often you could get Onix/Platinum koins...Just very little amounts... _________________
