The only new ones are Taven and possible his brother Daegon, but I´m not sure if the latter will be playable.

As long as they're not as shitty as Kobra, Bo Rai Cho, Dairou, Darrious, etc. then yes. I put maybe because as it stands it's going to be difficult enough to select a character to fight as with so many classic awesome ones to choose from. Adding more than Taven from Konquest isn't necessary and not wanted if they're going to be shitty new characters.

Okay cool. Then at least 2 new charachters but several more may count as new. Such as Shinnok since he has new moves for example.

nah,id still concider him as an oldy,new moves dont make a difference cuz some old characters have been givin new moves besides the moves shinnok has was simular to his fatalities

Yes, we need new characters. MK has been ever evolving. And if the evolution would stop, MK would fail. Hence we need new characters (good new characters with great storylines), improved gameplay etc.

In this game I think around the 60 charachters is enough. The Edenian brothers Taven and Daegon are the only new ones. (As we know of)
But we never know what Ed Boon and co might come up with.
