Hey guys this is actually my first post on here and I usually post more on ign.com. If you havent seen this footage already of Kintaro and Reptile in Ko-op mode, I will gladly share it with you. Btw, one you see this can you guys try exposing the secrets that lie behind all this? I have been dying to play as anybody else beside the Monks and SZ SC.

there is the proof in being able to Play as Kintaro and Reptile in story mode.
Another thing I have heard is that whoever made it to the game are playable. So I believe that you can play as:
Shang tsung, Raiden, Sonya, Kano, Ermac, Goro, Kitana, JC, Baraka, Reptile, Jax, idk but maybe even Kabal, Jade and Mileena.
so If you have any idea in how to play as them please do come back here and give us the answer becasue Like that we all can give it a shot in playing with all these characters.

Welcome to TMK. Hot damn, you actually can play as Kintaro and Reptile in story mode. I wonder how the hell this was pulled off. 
Unless the people who made that video are using Action Replay (or whatever it's called) in which case I could see this. Otherwise I have no idea. But I'd like to know how to play as them in SM story mode, or even in versus mode. Same goes for Mileena.

I΄ve seen Mileena being used in story mode as well. But I guess an cheat device of sorts are used.

I really want to know really badly. I then began to wonder after a lost a game, the first time this message came up with the four top buttons (R1 L1 L2 R2) i then asked myself, hmmmmmm... Can you use that to do a possible secret? like idk...
Anywhom, I would like it if anyone else can find more footage on playing with other characters in Ko-op or Story mode. I also would like to have some of those codes posted up so I can try to do these "Action Replay" codes.
Also thank you so much for wlecoming me to this site guys. the pleasure is all mine.

I have seen these codes on my Code Breaker before, though i have never tried using them, I know they are there. If anyone wants, I can look up the codes and post them.

Please do so... I want to try to get this codebreaking thing so i can play as other characters asap. I dont know why but its like a must. I think playin gas other characters is awesome.

Well, to use the codes, you need an actual code breaker. I still havent gotten around to looking up the codes, sorry, be patcient, I will return with them soon.

See, In Ireland its harder obtaining these codes. I remember for ages I was looking for AR codes to get the Knuckles Chao in Sonic Adventure 2:Battle, and to this day i'm still waiting for the damn codes. Personally, Id love to play as Kitana or Mileena in Story Mode. I've heard rumours that you can also play as Smoke, Noob Saibot and Jax. In fact, any character that appeared in the game is rumoured to be playable via a cheat device.

Heck I wanna play as Jade for once! I mean Im her biggest fan so I must have the right to play as her in MKSM.

Well, I don't really know cheats, but I do not think it possible to play as any character in the PS2 version of MKSM. I have heard in the past that it was only for the X-box version.

Well in the url I sent you there is an R2 icon oin the bottom of the screen so it is possible dude. Also I wanted to add, where can you find thiese special cheats to play as other characters I have try finding them and I cant seem to find them?
If you have any ideas on which websites they might have them, please inform me. I have tried some random sites and some popular ones as well and nothing. They just give the master cheat ansd a few cheats and nothing on playing as any other character. SO if you find out, if anyone finds out please do expose these codes because I find it crazy how I cant find them myself.
One thing I like to add is, is there any other special secrets then the Survival Mode?
