No dude It was just a text interview on the GI web page. I did drop a link on when I first saw it but I cant find it now.

I think for a game which is bringing back as many oldies as possible, Motaro is a must have.

As a bigger character, he will NOT have arial moves. It has been already stated in interviews that the bigger characters will not be able to perform arial kombat, but will have more, stronger ground-based moves. As for what moves he'll have, I can see them bringing back his grab-by-the-throat-and-slam move, as well as his tail trip, hind-leg kick and energy ball. As for his other moves, I have no idea.

I have to ask Amphibi...what weapon do you think he'll have? I remember his MK:T ending (I think) when there were a bunch of Centaurians that had pikes or spears...but I think he needs something more self-oriented and...'fearful'...my guess is a trident...

Considering he's a big, badass boss, he might just have 2 major fighting styles. But if he did have a weapon, I'd imagine it to be some kind of trident or spear, it just suits his character in my opinion.

i have a feeling that mortaro will be a very powerful character. he probaly has a combo that will take away 2/3's of your life.

They mentioned that unlike in MKT, the 'boss' characters have been heavily toned down to be more even with the other characters. That way someone can't just select one of them and pwn the hell out of the average-sized ones. So I don't think he'll have a combo that can do THAT much damage, unless other characters have them too, which is very unlikely.

I miss MKII and III's unbelievably long combos...the ones that if you pull off...the opponent is instantly pawned...gotta love it...I'm guessing the fighting will be near identical to Deception...as it was to Deadly Alliance...even for Shokans and Centaurians...

Negative, the fighting engine in this has been revamped so it's more of a combination of Shaolin Monks and Deception. They wanted to bring back the fast-pace action styles of the 16/32 bit era MK's. Konquest mode is basically an expanded fighting engine of Shaolin Monks, while the normal game is more of a fusion between SM and MKD.

...personally I didn't like SM a third as much as Deception...but whatever...

Maybe you were?? A fusion between MKD and SM sounds very good indeed especially since I love both those games.

It would seem quite strange to see Motaro in the air juggling an opponent in midair.

although it would be funny, crouching tiger,hiddden centaur. sadly,no air combos for mortaro but he will have powerful ground moves.
