Dating back to MK1 all the way to the present, who's the hardest boss to defeat and why? (I've never made it to the end of Shaolin Monks, so I really don't know who the boss is) I voted for Shao Kahn from MK3. He's quick despite his size. He's also equipped with the Wrath Hammer that he didn't have in MKII, and his fireball went from the fire spear to the more destructive Nova Blast. He constantly likes to Shadow Rush and Shadow Upper you, and when you're far away, he likes to shoot you. For close kombat, he likes to hit you with his hammer!! IT'S FRICKIN' MADNESS!!!!!!!!!! SOMEONE STOP THIS BERSERK MADMAN!!!!!!

Definitely MKII's Shao Kahn...Onaga can kiss my ass...maybe he'd be a little challenging if those kamidogu weren't all over the place...
MKIII's Shoa Kahn was pretty tough too...but everyone besides those two were horrible...
...Shang Tsung was fun to fight...but was way too easy...Goro easily topped him...and Shinnok...I don't even need to say anything...Shang Tsung and Quan Chi were bad enough alone...putting them together is like mixing Democrats and Republicans...they only screw each-other over... _________________ "...don't think it's yours just 'cause you marked it with your urine."

SHoa Kahn seemed a lot harder in MK2 then in the series of MK3. But, this is mainly due to the fact, that in MK2, they didn't have Stryker, so I settled with my number 2 favourite, Johnny Cage. _________________

Shao Kahn was hard to beat in MK2 & UMK3. But in the GB version of MK2, I can easily defeat him. _________________

I find Shang Tsung the toughest because, he is a lot faster than kahn and smarter too. Shao Kahn did have powerful moves, but he would eventually stop attacking or he would do a move that would allow a free hit off of him. Shinnok wasn't really hard at all because, he doesn't have very powerful moves anyway, same with Quan Chi and Shang Tsung from mk:da.

I think Shao Kahn in MK2 because you didn't have combos back then to constantly hit him with, and his moves did so much damage that if you weren't blocking, you were fucked. But then again, he taunted a lot more in MK2, giving you more chances to hit him. _________________

spot on mate thats why I picked Kahn from MKII it's not easy . with out them combos
Kahn MK3 - combos all the way/ shang Mk1 very slow and could not throw
Shinnok MK4/G as every one else already said MO./ Onaga was too slow _________________ Nothing is free! Not even revenge!

LOL. Everytime I go up to combo Kahn on MK3, he blocks, hits me with his hammer, kicks me, shoots me with some Nova Blasts, then starts to shadow rush me. He kills me with a flawless victory. I've always killed MKII Shao Kahn with no effort. To me, he's just easy. Thats when we get to MK3, UMK3, and MKT Shao Kahn. THAT'S WHEN IT GETS TOUGH!!! _________________ YOU HAVE FOUND ME! I thought that Shao Kahn was always the hardest boss. I never really was that good at the games and I could only defeat Shao Kahn two times. Once with Sub-Zero and the other with Noob Saibot, yes cheaply too. But Shao Kahn has some pretty powerful moves, damage and good speed so therefore its hard to avoid him. My second biggest challenge would definitly have to be Onaga as you never know when he is going to do that stupid throw. _________________

Yeah, the thing about UMK3/MKT is that you could beat Kahn with characters like Noob Saibot with his cheap cloud projectile. In MK2, you had no combos and there was limitations to the cheapness you could do on Kahn. But I admit, he did taunt more in MK2 making him more open to hits. I beat him no problem on the Game Gear version of MK2. _________________

Personally I think the GG MKII is the cheapest version you can get (besides the GB)...I don't know why it's so much easier (because the last time I played a game gear, I was around 7)...but at 7, I shouldn't have been able to beat Kintaro and Kahn already! Too young for it to be easy! _________________ "...don't think it's yours just 'cause you marked it with your urine."

I recently bought a Game Gear. Ahh... how I brings back memories... (flashback of crushing Sonic the Hedgehog 2) well anywayz, I have beaten the game gear version of MKII, while it was easy, it was far more satisfying than the GB version cuz it was brought to you in GLORIOUS COLOR!! Plus had better effects. The GB version was alright tho. However, the GG version had a tougher Shao Kahn. He was still rather easy tho. _________________ YOU HAVE FOUND ME! Yeah...the game boy version was horrible...made me sad...
...though the game gear version was fun...understood...but it was still really easy...I always liked the originals 'cause they weren't afraid to pack on a little challenge...but the game gear really just kills the purpose... _________________ "...don't think it's yours just 'cause you marked it with your urine."
