I wonder about something. Will several characthers share the same attacks in some fighting styles. For Jax, Stryker and Tanya who share similair weapons for example.
Or Kano and Kira. The list goes on. Anyone has an idea? Or have I created another topic that people hate and begin critizing every reply I write??

What the MKTeam is trying to do to limit the amount of shared weapons/fighting styles is have some characters with 1 weapon and 1 fighting style, some with 2 weapons, and some with 2 fighting styles. This way there's more randomness to what characters will be fighting with. However, I thought I recall hearing there will be some shared fighting styles, as there are just so many characters in this game. Not sure about weapons though, as there's endless kinds they could create.

my question is, if rain has the storm sword..how come in his renders he has kira's 'dragon teeth' ?

That is an excellent question...as well as Kai not having a thunder rod...it was given to him by Rayden in his MK4 ending (which was, from what I can tell, very well canon)...

Not Kira´s Dragon Teeth. Shokan Daggers. They look alike but they were given to Sheeva instead. In MKD Konquest Rain is after a Shokan Dagger that Goro lost somewhere. Maybe that´s where the idea first came from??

It could very well be those daggers Rain found in Konquest mode of MKD. At the same time, there's still about 4 months to go before the game is complete, assuming they don't delay it, so his weapons could be changed.

We don´t even know what happened to Kai at the end of MK4. I guess he didn´t prove himself and thus never obtained Raiden´s staff which is why Raiden has his Staff in MKDA and MKD.
We will just have to wait Kai´s bio to be available, maybe that will clear things up for us.

Kai owned Raiden´s staff in MK:D Konquest. And he used it as his alternate weapon in MK4. Hence I think that Kai´s ending became true

...and I don't believe anyone has alt. weapons in MKIV...if there are then I should really start playing that game more...

1) I´m pretty much sure Raiden owns more than one staff. It´s only STAFF. Everybody can have a staff
2) Yes, there were alternate weapons in MK4. In their alternative costumes, the characters have even alternative weapon. (either other´s weapon or unique weapon: Kai- Raiden´s staff, Cage- gun)

1) It's not just a staff! It's the Thunder Staff...Rayden's bad-ass staff since time began...I never assumed he had two bad-ass Thunder Staffs since the beginning of time...

Thats kool I forgot about Cage's "james bond" costume with the pp7 looking gun. that and Fujjin's crossbo were bad as but my fave wepon was Noob's syth { raith stick } I'm gunna play MKG this weekend now thanks smiley98
