For the first time in the series, pre-programmed standard Fatalities will not be present in the game. However, select characters will have specific Fatality moves tailored to their abilities such as Scorpion's hell fire and Sub-Zero's freezing ability. Replacing standard Fatalities is the introduction of Create-A-Fatality."
I got this of Davesmk.com. Ok now that is very disappointing. I do think that the create a Fatality is cool but I know that i will grow tired of it. If the characters are not goin to have their trademark fatalities then I believe this game will be lame. I know it is still early to come up with solutions or answers but just by reading that it has totally disappointed me. I know that they are stil in the process of making the game and changes, but Ed Boon and his MK Team should think that over.
if they dont then Armageddon is. to me, horribly digusting.
Any thoughts or opionions on what is up with this?

You have noticed just now? The new fatality system is IMHO great and if you are skillful enough you can perform ´classic´ fatalities (just use the the right fatality moves in the right order). And the new fatality system is their main focus on this game, so I doubt they wouldn´t use it in the final game  _________________ DEVELOPER DIARIES

I agree with smiley98. Besides the game is far from finished and classic Fatality moves will be present. Most characthers will probably have some moves that all have such as a gut punch or a kick or something like that.
It will bring much variation into the Fatalaties instead of having 2 per charachter that you have seen over and over again. Besides this time, doing fatalaties will earn you more koins. _________________ Kano wins!!

I like it...it would make it a challenge to portray your favorite fatalities...instead of these simple button combos...it'll also give us somethin' more to do...go us! _________________ "...don't think it's yours just 'cause you marked it with your urine."

Characters will still most likely have one of their trademark finishers as the final move in a fatality, you'll just have to be skilled enough to perform enough fatals before you get to it. I've already seen Sub's skull/spine rip (though it was Scorpion who performed it in the video) so I'm not worried about signature fatalities not being there. You'll just be able to do a lot more damage before performing the signature move is all. _________________

Welll now that I think of it, yeah it is better but it be good to like play with the trademark fatalities and add some twist to it. Well that is the whole point. It does get tiring to see same fatalities over and over again so yeah my mistake on that. But i just thought it be dumb to not have at least one trademark fatality. Like we havent seen Sareena's and Blaze and Mokap never had any and other characters. I want to see what kind of fatality they will do, trademarkwise. The KAF is great but i just wanted to be like come on just one trademark, you get me?

I know, shame on me for being all anal about it. But yeah we just have to wait and see. But I heard that the MK Team actually do go through posts and bulletin and boards and all. So i hope they listen to some mk fans. It be good.

The fatality system will be more fun and you can be more creative now with more moves for each characther. Better to have 20 moves per characther than 2 that gets done to death. _________________ Kano wins!!

I am also worried about this create a fatality thing. I am worried that I wont be good enoghf to get all the way to the trade mark fatality at the end, well I'm sure i'll get there with enogh trial & error. _________________ Nothing is free! Not even revenge!

This Create a Fatality system is very worrisome to me for many reasons. First off, the majority of characters may not have their signature finishing moves. The idea that u have to create a fatality instead of pre-programmed fatalities is stupid because I am always waiting to see what they will come up with next.
Among other things, I viewed a video through youtube that featured a fight between Scorpion and Shinnok, which was pretty awesome until I saw Scorpion's finishing move in which he ripped out Shinnok's heart in 4 pieces.
It was just like the fatality that Kano did in MKDA, completely ridiculuous.
