I have a theory about konqust mode I need to know if this makes sense. Ok here we go as I’m sure you know during konqust you meet nearly every character in the game series I got to thinking how is it possible that the characters you meet aren’t as old as him later. Well after much thought it hit me remember in chouse realm how he ages when he goes in that pool thing that had the Kamidogu in it well what if that changed how he ages and makes him age faster than anyone else that would account for why he looks so much older and how he meet the characters that he did. Thank you for reading this and pleas post comments.

I wondered that too. But after I got to the pool part yesterday, I got confused.
It can't make him age faster, because many years had passed since he first started. Although thinking about it... maybe it only made time for him pass quickly.
Eh, I dunno.
Maybe the characters are just immortal.

You´re partially right. Characters from Edenia and Outworld don´t age as fast as Shujinko (Kitana is 10,000 years old and Shao Kahn is also friggin old). And I think this also applies to people from Orderrealm (Hotaru still looks the same, although Shujinko has aged a lot in the jail). And off course the Netherealm citizens doesn´t age, because they are already dead. But I´m not sure about Chaotics- maybe is each Chaosrealm citizen ageing differently (which can easily happens in Chaosrealm)

...I believe that is one of the few flaws of Mortal Kombat...aging...
...how Earthrealm warriors always look the same as Edenians...even though they age about one hundred times as fast...makes you wonder...

I believe any fighters who have participated in the tournament are "immortal" until the next one, which is why Liu Kang, Sonya Blade and Johny Cage never got older. As for other Earthrealm characters, I really don't have an answer for you. The only thing I had (before MKD Konquest mode) was that there wasn't a lot of time in between the games, but looking at MKD Konquest mode, that does not seem to be the case...

Wait, are you sure? I could've sworn it was only the champion that is immortal, and he/she remains that way until they lose a tournament.

That's one of the things that's kind of up in the air. I'm not 100% positive if it's only the main champion or if it's the victors. I'd imagine it would be the victors, since they represented Earthrealm and won, they'd want all of them back for the next tournament. Kang may have been the "champion" because he defeated Shang Tsung, but I'm sure Sonya and Cage were also victors because they helped, and therefore may also have been granted the extended life.
By the way, this "extended life" info was provided from "Mortal Kombat - The Journey Begins" which was an animated movie, so I'm not sure how canonical it'd be, and I'm not sure if there's references to the "immortal until the next tournament" stuff in the games.

It was never mentioned in the games. I was always wondering ´What are the people talking about?!?´ when somebody mentioned the ´immortal until next tournament´ thing. Thanks for the info, Amphibious
Btw. Sonya looks much older and IMO ugly in MK:DA (in comparison with her sexy MK3/MK4 look). I think she has aged a lot

Don't even start with me Sir smile-a-lot...I think her Alliance look is the hottest she's ever looked...I've got a Monks version of her attacking Kitana (same look from Alliance)...H-O-T...both of 'em...I keep that wallpaper in my screensaver (that switches between all my MK wallpapers)...

I agree with you big time that she looks ugly in comparison to her MK3/MK4 look (MK3 most of all). I think that's just because now she's a computer generated model whereas MK3 Sonya was a hot actress.
